Magnificent! The boys absolutely enjoyed it howick falls. We will certainly be back here. There are many other interesting things to do in this area including Piggly Wiggly, Farmer’s Daughter (family restaurant) etc

An unexpected stop on my way to my destination. The 4th highest waterfall in SA, definitely worth a quick visit. The waterfall was strong, I can only imagine how it would be during rainy season.

My family of 4 took a brief stopover at Howick Falls en driving route from Durban to Drakensberg and were pleasantly surprised. It is impressive mainly because of it’s height. There are several signs of different famous waterfalls all around the world on one pole...More

The waterfall itself is lovely - as thundering waters usually are - but the area around it is run-down. Locals also use this particular fall for what seemed to be washing, so the pool at the bottom is a murky, unnaturally bright shade of green....More

This is an amazing little place to see the falls. There are many booths set up to purchase African crafts. There is a lookoff to see the falls. On the top of the falls you can see the local women doing their wash.

The waterfall is pretty but not really worth the 25 min drive from where we were staying. Nothing to phone home about.

Most spectacular in the Summer or Spring when there as been a lot of rain. The walk down to the plunge pool is a MUST!

It was amazing to visit Howick Falls but it is sad to see that the area is not kept clean and neat. Visitors should also use the rubbish bins provided. Look after nature and reap the benefits later

These falls would be much more impressive in Europe but not in Africa where the scale of nature is somehow much greater. Additionally given the surrounding plethora of street traders, litter and over exuberant locals it's not really worthwhile making a detour for this particular...More

No entry fee. It’s basically a view site with an hour or so walk to bottom of Falls. It’s a child-friendly walk but for security/safety I suggest you walk in a group of at least 4 people. There are lots of craft stalls and... More
