Went on a weekend when the market was on. You can buy some nice artifacts from the sellers. There is also a gift shop (information centre) 5 minutes walk from the falls. There is also a path that takes you to under the falls. We...More

No matter how times I visit the Howick falls I always enjoy the beauty of this site. On my last visit the falls was very boisterous and thundered to the bottom as the large volumes of water fell to the bottom. this was due to...More

The falls themselves are lovely and the viewing platform is in a perfect position. The curio stall holders were polite and at no stage did we feel unsafe. However, the large contingent of local ladies doing their laundry in the rock pools on top of...More

Sadly this beautiful natural waterfall has been totally destroyed by inconsiderate people, very high crime in the surrounding area, lots of vagrants and drunk people, be very careful if you go to view and go during the day and not on weekends as the park...More

Couldn’t believe how super the spot is not that it is completely free. No entrance fee at all and so close to the town a super view of these falls which are a real delight to see. There is a gorgeous craft market around it...More

The falls are stunning and easy to reach. You don't expect such a big waterfall in the area so it was a nice surprise. I just wish the people camping on top of the waterfall would be kindly asked to move to another spot. Sadly...More

Stopped off to have a look and see how much change has happened in the last 20 years. The falls were still the same and the viewing site was was as it had been . Good. It is a well visited place.

Lovely scenery to look at from the viewing platform. Howick town a bit rundown but quite quaint. Touristy shops.

These beautiful falls never lose their charm even if in winter there may only be one stream of water braving the fall. There is always a bustle of traders selling their souveniers, also from Zimbabwe. A museum and a hotel restaurant are within walking distance.

Not to be missed if visiting the Midlands. Handy parking, and a selection of gift stalls and shops nearby.

No entry fee. It’s basically a view site with an hour or so walk to bottom of Falls. It’s a child-friendly walk but for security/safety I suggest you walk in a group of at least 4 people. There are lots of craft stalls and... More
