About
We specialise in private, custom wine tours in Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero in Northern Italy to introduce you not only to the spectacular wines of Piemonte but also the cuisine, culture and history of this beautiful but often neglected part of Italy. Not an obvious choice of destination as little English is spoken but this means fewer tourists and probably cheaper than Toscana (Tuscany). We are expert providers of “local knowledge “and provide an English speaking service to ensure that you never waste a moment of your precious leisure time.

This was our second time with Robert and Leslie (first was 7 years ago) and even with the area just reopening from COVID they ran a smooth ship and we’re as great as ever.
We went to 2 wineries, 1 in Bordeaux and 1 in Barbaresco, and at both (and in between) Robert was giving thoughtful insights even for a group that has been on many wine tours.
They find great wineries where you can feel an intimate connection to the people and place, and the wine is great too! Normally for lunch you go to a restaurant, but considering the environment they hosted us at their home for lunch.
As great as everything on the tour is, including how informative and friendly and inviting they are, and how great it is to see the region, the BEST part of the tour is when at the end, they offer for you to do a blind tasting of wines in the region. Regrettably I went an embarrassing 0-5, the two others in our group did much better, but it’s truly fun.
As I said, it was my wife and my second time with them, and for a reason, we wouldn’t go with anyone else for a wine tour in the region!

We really can't recommend Robert and Leslie enough and we're very happy we found them. When we booked our tour, we asked Leslie for a phone call to tell her what kind of experience we were looking for. She was very responsive and was happy to hop on a call with us.
On the day of the tour, Robert picked us up from our hotel and we toured both the Barbaresco and Barolo regions, as promised. For lunch, they invited us into their home and Leslie cooked us a delicious Italian meal (with wines, of course) and I fell in love with the tajarin (so simple yet delicious). You should check out their cookbooks collection, it's impressive. We then continued with our tour and drank way too many wines from small wineries you'd never be able to find or visit. This is what we wanted, we wanted access to small wineries whose wines we probably won't be able to find in California.
But the highlight of our trip went beyond our tour with them. The next day, we decided to explore the regions ourselves and messaged Leslie for some recommendations. She invited us to meet her at her favorite local wine shop and we're happy we accepted. The shop and the owner were so lovely and welcoming (Michela from
Enoteca Al Nido Della Cinciallegra) and we got to try whatever wines we wanted! And Leslie was so sweet and even taught my wife a party trick which I will not repeat here because I don't want everyone asking her for the trick. Robert came later to meet us and of course, we drank more wines. We all had lunch together before saying our goodbyes and it's still the highlight of our honeymoon and this was only day 3 into it.
Robert is a wealth of knowledge about wines from all areas. He taught us so much and we still talk about everything he told us when we drink wines. Leslie is just the warmest/sweetest person and we gave her a big hug when we left. Thank you for starting off our honeymoon with a great experience.

Robert and Leslie are truly the best at what they do, and what they do is show you gorgeous vistas of vineyards, captivating wine tasting tours, and local food experiences. They are highly knowledgeable and are extremely gracious hosts. They were even able to secure a local truffle hunting expert for a very fun and exciting hunt, and even with very dry conditions we found four nice truffles! Robert is also a very skilled photographer and we have the pictures to show for it while Leslie lends her considerable expertise in the kitchen with wonderful foods reminiscence of the area. Highly recommend!

I can not express enough how much Robert and Leslie made our trip. Per Leslie's recommendation we did a tour with them our first day in the area. My partner and I both agree that that single choice made our vacation a smooth and fun experience. They taught us so much about the area and had great recommendations on things to do and see in the area over the next few days we had there. Of course I left my experience with a wealth of knowledge on the wines of the area, but they also personalized it to us. I appreciate that they seemed to get to know us and our personality and were thoughtful with the experience they gave and the recs as well. Do yourself a favor and spend a full day with them. They are very educated about the wine and the region. Hands down one of the top experiences of my life!

My wife and I spent 3 1/2 days with Leslie and Robert at the end of October. They were just great.
We spent the first 2 days with Leslie. We did a cooking class at their house where we made risotto and flan. Great barbaresco to sip during the preparation and a delicious meal.
We then spent the afternoon in Barbaresco and the next day in Roero.
Robert was with us for the next 2 days and we toured the Barolo region and went to many of the villages.
We loved touring with them. They are so knowledgeable of the area and took us to great wineries that were mostly family owned. Leslie knows her wine and Robert really knows his wine. They were both great at giving us great information about the spectacular wines of Piedmont. We stopped in Alba to ship a case home from all the places we visited along the way and can't wait to receive it.
Robert is an expert photographer and was able to stop along the way and show us the beautiful views of the region. One morning the fog provided unbelievable pictures for us. Piedmont is a really beautiful area with spectacular views and villages perched above beautiful hills. Robert sent us a wonderful collection of pictures he took during our trip and of his other expert photography. It is impressive.
If you are looking for a great wine tour, with fantastic value and expertise, look no further. All you need to do is tell them what you want to do and they will take care of the rest.

Robertino is a true connoisseur of wine, food, history and people. We had a gorgeous 3 day tour of the region, and other than not finding enough room in our bellies to eat everything we wanted to, it was a magnificent tour. This region is incredibly packed with teeming nature against the backdrop of the Italian Alps. What an amazing piece of Planet Earth to enjoy - and Robert helps curate it all with lots of stories, history and background. Highly recommended.

Robert was our guide for the day and he was truly amazing! He was such a knowledgeable guy who knows how to keep people entertained! We went to their beautiful home where Leslie prepared a light lunch. All the food was outstanding and the winery visits were outstanding as well. We learned so much and busted some amazing lookout points! If we're ever back in the area we will 100% be booking through then again

Thanks to my American friends Jeff and Serena my husband and I had the opportunity to enjoy a very nice and interesting wine tasting tour in the Langhe. The funny thing is that I’m Italian and my grandfather was born in the area, but I actually learnt something during my tour with Robert. He is very competent and, as he and his wife have been living for many years in the Langhe region, so he really knows everything about wine, vineyards, wine making and yes, he knows a lot about the history of the region too. He even speaks some Piedmontese, the local dialect!
I highly recommend Travel Langhe.

Words can hardly express how incredible this tour was! We had the chance to taste so many amazing wines and we came away from the tour with more knowledge than we ever anticipated. Robert was a great driver, tour guide, and was all-around engaging to listen to! Leslie prepared a wonderful lunch and we really enjoyed their company and learning from them both! They truly went above and beyond in numerous ways - we especially enjoyed their recommendations for the next leg of our travels. I couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

Touring this area is fantastic, the views are beautiful and the wine is some of the best in the world. Robert is a knowledgable and fun guide and we learned a lot. He drove us around for a whole day and took us to some great places using his insider local connections. Leslie made a beautiful lunch of local foods at their home. Wonderful day, the kind that only a true local can provide.

Hello. My wife and I, along with my brother and his wife, will be visiting the Piedmont region on July 7th. We are staying in Milan and plan to travel to Piedmont by train. We would love to visit a few wineries on that day and were wondering if you had that day available. Thank you.

Hi, you need to contact Robert and Leslie at Travel Langhe directly
They get booked up quite far ahead but they are well worth trying. We had a great day tour with Robert and Leslie prepared a very good lunch. We very happily recommend them and if you get the chance to stay in the area (Piedmont) then Nieve is a lovely small village and the Borgese Camera is a great place to stay with an unbelievably good breakfast. Enjoy your trip

Hello. We’ll be staying in Calamandrana. Could you do the pick up there or do we need to arrange our own transportation to Neive? Thanks.

hi,
how much does a day tour like your cost p/p please?
thnks
Written December 20, 2017
175 euros per person per day. This included all tour transportation, admission to wineries and tours and a full lunch with wine. I thought is was very reasonable and worth the cost.

Grazie

Can you customize a tour for 6 people to include 2 wineries one of which would include a gourmet lunch with the tasting
Written June 6, 2017
They are very flexible so reach out to them via their website and I'm sure they can accommodate you. They are flexible with which vineyards, which areas, etc. Robert was telling us about some repeat guests he's had that he's now taking to vineyards that are further out from the starting point so that these repeat guests can see new places and try new wines.
I'll say one thing different than what Karen said about our tour with 3 people. We had lunch at Robert and Leslie's home prepared by Leslie. They have a beautiful spot overlooking the vineyards and rolling hills of Tuscany. Food was fantastic. That said if you are looking more to do a gourmet restaurant I'm sure they can certainly make it happen.

Hello, I have been trying to reach you via email. I would like to book a tour. I am interested in:
• Winery visits
• Morning vineyard hike
• Exploring the many small medieval hilltop wine villages
• Visit and tasting with an artisanal cheese or salumi producer
• Wine and/or vineyard education with Robert
Please let me know if there is availability for 26-28 of June.
