We specialise in private, custom wine tours in Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero in Northern Italy to introduce you not only to the spectacular wines of Piemonte but also the cuisine, culture and history of this beautiful but often neglected part of Italy. Not an obvious choice of destination as little English is spoken but this means fewer tourists and probably cheaper than Toscana (Tuscany). We are expert providers of “local knowledge “and provide an English speaking service to ensure that you never waste a moment of your precious leisure time.

Great day with the best wines in the world

This was our second trip to Piemonte, home to my favorite wines. We tried to arrange a half day with Travel Langhe the first time we went, but the timing didn't work out. This... read more

This was our second trip to Piemonte, home to my favorite wines. We tried to arrange a half day with Travel Langhe the first time we went, but the timing didn't work out. This time, the trip was to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary, which are about 3 months apart. We brought my wife's parents... More

We spent 2 days with Robert doing wine tasting and touring in the Piedmont region in November 2016. The weather was rainy and foggy on and off but we had a lovely time with Robert tasting various wines and visiting wineries, wine shops, and restaurants. He knew a lot of the people we visited and was very familiar with the... More

My sister and I had the privilege of enjoying an all day wine tour and dining experience with Robert in the Piedmonte Region. Both of us have been on several wine tours but this one was far superior to any we have taken. In addition to tasting a variety of wines, we learned the history of the region, and we... More

We visited Piedmonte this past November. We knew the weather could be an issue and it was. It was warm, cloudy and rainy. That did not stop us from enjoying the country side for what we came for - wine tasting. Robert Alexander was an excellent wine, food and history guide for our trip. We spent two days with Robert,... A great tour through several wineries with Robert and the most beautiful views of the vineyards and history of the area. Our eyes were opened to wine selection, the interesting facts and laws that allow a wine to be called a specific name - such as Barolo or Barbaresco. We ended with a fabulous lunch of local recipes that Leslie... More

My husband and I went thinking we would taste a lot of wine and see beautiful landscapes. We never expected to get all of that with great companions who were very knowledgeable and eager to share what they knew with us. We met their friends and learned a lot of history about the Piedmont region and a lot about wine... More

Robert and Leslie know Langhe and they know wine. Wonderful tour that included tastings with local producers. If you haven't visited before, ask their advice regarding local restaurants and other wines to try. Their knowledge of the region is immense, and they will point you in the right direction.

the 3 days tour was lovely and friendly, we were flushed with wine and passion from winery owners, Leslie, Robert and the doggie. Wine from Franco Rocca are fabulous, I just hate that I didn't bring enough home. Alberto Voerzio, another winery owner, was young and passionate and personally hosted our lunch. Other wineries have some good wine. We ended... More

My partner and I spent 2 days with Robert in early September - perfect time of the year, as the weather was superb and the vines were ready for harvest, so very lush! Day one was spent concentrating on the Barbaresco region of the Langhe and involved : *LOTS of information from Robert, (there is no doubting his excellent knowledge... More
