We went out for a walk after a storm and found ourselves at this Castle. The views were amazing and worth the walk!

Fabulous views over the lake and Torbole. Nice walk up not to strenuous. Worth it for the view. We walked there on an organised trek so our great guide told us loads of interesting facts about the area.

A tough climb from Torbole but worth the great view. The climb from Nago, then down to Torbole is somewhat easier. Historical castle is a ruin but there are markers with historical information along the way.

We had a lovely walk from Torbole up to the castle and would recommend this. It is rather steep and I don't recommend doing this in sandals as we saw someone trying to do. Don't miss the alleyway in between the houses - you need to follow this.

There is a lovely walk up to Penede Castle from the centre of Nago (don't go the steep way!! - go via the hilltop restaurant). The walk takes you through a well looked after picnic area - the castle was closed the day we walked there as it was a bank holiday, but we found great viewpoints from other areas.
