Very beautiful, really enjoyed the scenery, would have liked a bit more single-track sections, anything from Green, Yellow, Blue has basically only Jeep track sections. However the scenery still makes it worthwhile.

We chose the 11km blue route, the singletrack through the forest was nice and mild, very beautiful and family friendly. The 2nd half had a few climbs more than my 7yr old could handle so we mainly pushed most of the way back. Took us quite a bit more than the 1.5hrs they indicate. Stopping at the small Californian Redwood plantation planted in 1925 was a highlight for the kids.

My favorite trails.
Love the views and forest paths.
Pity about the fire damage.
Not quite as good as the first time I rode here 20 years ago.

Rode the Harkerville Red Route which was an enjoyable ride through initially the forest which then opens out onto the the sea. From a scenery point of view it's well worthwhile, although worth noting that it's not amazing single track riding if you're preference is groomed trails with good flow.

Worth noting that the Harkerville Red Route requires a good level of biking fitness.

This trail with its ups and down give some wonderful vistas of the surrounding areas up to the Tsitsikamma mountains, but is also demanding of physical input.

Easy to find , directly off the N2
Park opposite Garden of Eden once in the small car park up the road
Lovely gravel/jeap track and some really nice single track in the forest. Take the red route to get to the sea for wonderful views from the cliffs.

Now one of my favourite short(ish) mountain bike trails - 24kms. You start in the beautiful natural forest and are quickly onto a sublime single track. Not too technical although there are some knarly roots to catch you out if your attention wanders. Then onto a jeep track before getting onto a concrete single track which takes you straight down to the cliffs overlooking the sea. A steep climb on loose rocks and then undulations on a jeep track before the trail goes back into the natural forest and onto a fairly technical single track before you return to the start. Best done with a fellow rider!

We rode the blue trail with our 8yr old. Lovely forest trail with some jeep track. Pretty easy to moderate ride which our daughter, who could easily complete and enjoyed the scenery. Remember to get a permit across the road.

What an awesome MTB Route. I visited multiple times in my week in SA - it was that good!
Parking was convenient, signage was good and the trails themselves very quiet. The scenery is stunning and a good mixture of technical forest tracks and wide open coastal vistas.

Choose your route length and difficulty. Well sign boarded routes, with spectacular views.
If staying in Plet or Knysna and you miss this then you have truly missed an experience.
If family not into biking then Garden of Eden over the road is a forest boardwalk not be to forgotten.
If possible do both !
