If you are near or at Balatonkenese you can walk to SOOS HILL starting from Partfö utca. 10/15mn walk but depending of the weather condition and specially if it's raining you have a narrow a steep dirt road who can be slippery. Of course not recommended for weelchairs in any weather condition.
You can also have an easier access by car on the other side but you must ask your way while this is quiete not so easy to find.

Perfect place to enjoy the view onto the Lake Balaton from the Northern corner of the Lake.
I prefer the evening hours, you can sit on a bank and have some quiet time.
It may be windy, so you may want to take a hat with you just in case.

The 'observatory' at the top boats impressive views of the Balaton, both in the daytime and evening. A trip to the top is perfect for an activity to use up a couple of hours, and the walk to the top is about 30 minutes from the centre of Kenese. There are minimal safety measures in place, particularly on the ascent to the top on a narrow path and therefore I would advise families with children to ensure they don't go off alone as the cliff edge is completely open (no fence, rail etc).

Without a doubt this is the most beautiful view in Balatonkenese. It takes approximately an hour from the Marina up to the lookout. The path leads you through an ancient cemetery, which is still operating. Beautiful old trees, spooky atmosphere, but it is definately worth a visit. On the way up you could see the Tátorján, a rare flower which only can be found here in Europe. Breath taking view from above, you could see Balatonalmádi and many other cozy little towns around the Balaton. 5/5!

The so called Tátorjan study trail leads up to the hill, if you get a chance, visit the nearby "Tatárlyuk" as well. The view is splendid, but try to avoid summer daylight, as it is a killer. Tátorján is the name of a rare, local plant, and there are a few bushes around. In time of blossoming it looks really nice, but most of the year you probably don't even notice. During fall the dry branches are chased in the wind, in Hungarian this phenomenon is call "ördögszekér", meaning the "devil's chariot".

Was there on the 3rd od May. Most of the places were closed. There seemed to be no access to the Soos Mountain. Anyway, we did not find it.

Worth the visit. Took 1/2hr from marinaport hotel through the cemetery - which is worth visiting too. Then turn right at end and its a steep climb up to top. The signs are all in English on the back. On top is a tower you can climb for an even better view. If you go by car the road is rough but its clearly marked. We went back via the road which was longer.

It is a really lovely place to visit, great view.
A bit difficult to get to and we had some scary moments to get to the top as there are no bars or safety nets at the edge of the cliff. Small children must be watched! Once you made it to the top the panoramic view is just great.

The lookout tower is worth a visit, the panorama is breathtaking: Lake Balaton, Füzfő Bay, Füred, Tihany... the lake disappears on the horizon to the west. The lookout tower itself is quite ugly, however, full of antennas - certainly not a good spot for people afraid of electromagnetic radiation. Not far from the lookout point is the memorial column of the poet Lajos Soós, erected in 1927. I parked the car at the bottom of the road (there are not many good parking spaces there!) and then walked the path up, a bit steep in places, but not a big problem. There is also some garbage in the bushes here... always a pity that people are not able to use garbage cans.
