Great 1-2h family trip. Walk through the forest is quite steep but many picnic tables along the way. Viewing platform is great and chances to see any wolfs are very high. Even my 21m LO managed to walk it all the way up. All for free beside the parking (30 kc/h). Very simple playground. Highly recommended if you are nearby. One point down for no little cafe present at the info desk.

The main building of visitors centre with parking place is new, wooden architecture with
many pictures and stories of local animals and forest. Merchandize.
Nice walk in the forrest about 2 km to the wolf´s enclosure. Not easy to see animals, 8 wolves should be there.

We were very fortunate to be really close to a wolf taking berries off bushes next to the raised viewing platform. Other wolves were distant at the lower reaches of the sloping enclosure. It is quite a long climb up well-prepared paths to the wolves’ enclosure. There are seats along the way if you need to rest. You simply need to pay for car parking: there’s no further charge. You can find this attraction a few kilometres south of the mountain village of Srni.

An incredible amount of planning and a lot of work must have been dedicated to the fantastic sanctuary. The wolves have plenty of space to roam around and the elevated wooden walkways are really nicely done. You can a glimpse of wolves in their natural environment. There is a short walk though the forest to get to the enclosure. We absolutely loved it. There is also a small playground next to the visitor’s centre. Paid parking, but the rest is for free.

Very much liked this site. Nice and informative exhibition at the visitors' center interesting for both adults and children. Nice walk through the woods to the wolf sanctuary. We were lucky to see the wolfs several times - probably needs some luck and also depends on the weather. We visited on a rainy relatively cold day. Would expect that during a hot sunny day they would hide / sleep in the shadow. Very well done for National Park Sumava and all those involeved in pulling all this together. Thanks!

I just would like to say a big Thank you to all people, who takes care of the nature and make sure our kids have a chance to see, learn and dont grow up as ignorants.
The nicest place for keeping animals "locked" I have ever seen.
Good luck and a lots of health to all wolfs!

We have visited on a fairly hot day in the afternoon and only saw one wolf (thank goodness for that); the rest were hiding. Some people said to us they did not see even one. The climb up to the wooden boardwalk is quite steep, my somewhat overweight relatives could not make it and had to return. Once on the boardwalk you can take your time walking looking for wolves down below or you can sit on the wooden benches provided everywhere and read info about wolves on display boards. The visitor center is amazing, beautiful displays of wolf info including skeletons and scat. One can watch movies about wolves. Refreshments are available from machines, be aware that plain water was gone early afternoon and we were told they get refilled the next morning. Beautiful modern bathrooms. Entrance is free but you have to pay for parking.

This place is just gorgeous. Nicely build, great walk, for all ages , and you can see the wolfs. The wooden elevated platform is really good and wolfs are just under you. We have seen seven adults and three puppies. Only one remark would be to the refreshments, this place would be complete with s mica Cafe rather than a vending machine. There is a small info centre and a playground. All for free, just parking is 30 Czk an hour. Highly recommended.
