This is the best place to see the sunset. The sand part is huge, however, it can get crowded, you better arrive early and avoid weekends. The samd os bright white and the sea is really blue. The water is very cold though. ( in Arraial do Cabo all of the beaches have a really cold water).
There are some dunes that are great to sit and relax. On the left corner, you can go up, near the lifeguard house and have an amazing view fonthe beach from above.

40 km of crystal clear water with waves to surf. White, thin and soft sand. Amazing sunset. Perfect place to chill! There is a trail to reach the top of the hill by it to have better spot of the sunset. Def worth it.

Still had a great time and great service from the local beach chair/table rental guy. The water was as cold as an ice cooler even on this hot summer day. The wind was so strong the sand exfoliated our backsides. We still had a great day!

According to historical records, Arraial do Cabo was the probable place on which Americo Vespucci landed in 1503, during the first exploratory journey sent by the Portuguese Crown. In spite of its historical importance no sign of that epic endeavor can be found, except for a modern landmark erected by the Municipality. Well, all this is secondary if you are interested in relaxing on the beach or diving. By the way, this town is the Mecca of Brazilian divers, because of the crystal-clear waters and the extraordinary variety of sea life. There are many specialized shops in which diving equipment can be rented. Be sure of making your hotel reservation in advance, mainly during high season, from December to February. Once Arraial do Cabo hasn’t relevant “inland” attractions, more than three days can be too much time to spend in town.[original in English]

Gorgeous beach, white and fine sand, but be prepared for the freezing cold water!
Totally worth the visit though.
Sand can get quite hot so maybe a good idea to wear sandals instead of flip flops.

The Praia Grande Beach is the biggest and most accessable beach of Arraial... The service there is very nice with chairs and umbreallas, and the view is wonderful. The water is not so warm, but nice to cool off a bit after some hours in the sun.
There are a lot of waves most of the days, which makes it popular for the surfers as well..
Close to the street, a cafe/restaurant offers food and drinks if you want to sit on a chair when you eat.
Absolutely a must when you go to Arraial

Então a escolha do local e importante.
