Make the effort, stop at this museum in Ladysmith. Bear in mind that Ladysmith is a pass through town so is perhaps not as presentable as it used to be, but the museum is exceptional. It is well layed out, informative and worth the visit....More

Its an antique building - that is so peaceful when you enter. It has displays that are so interesting , and lots of stuff from the war. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and always prepared to assist.

Excellent! Brilliantly laid out in chronological order with simple descriptions for the merely interested and very detailed information for those with more time and wanting in depth involvement. One of the best I have visited.

A small but very interesting museum showing the history of the siege of Ladysmith well worth a look before you tour the Boar/Zulu battle fields.
