Great place for a wander through the woods and up the knott to see spectacular views of the area !
It does have a car park close to the top for those that don’t want the wooded walk

This is a beautiful place which, despite being only one hour drive from home, we have only just discovered recently.
We visited during the half term holiday, and it was still quiet and peaceful. We even spotted a deer.
Loved it, and will be returning.
Drove down to the village centre after a picnic and a nice walk with amazing views. Enjoyed ice cream on the promenade.

This is always so quiet, it’s always different every time I come, in terms of the colours, the sands the sky.
Walking out into the bay to see back into the lakes.
I come here regularly with my dog. It’s great to park at Arnside and walk up, totally free and never dull. Fab views over towards Grange and down towards Morecambe .

Great for kids to let off steam, great for couples.

Very nice place to visit for superb views. Poor signposting leaves you wondering whether you are on the right course or not.

Lovely chilled walk. Lovely town and very relaxed area. There are some stunning views from hill tops and well worth the visit.

Really beautiful view at the top. Great place for a picnic! Good for dogs. Some areas a little steep & uneven underfoot so not ideal for people with mobility issues.

A fabulous clockwise walk of 4.8mile (starting at the promenade and then inland up to Red Hills Wood and on to the top of Arnside Knott) before continuing down to the Morecambe shore side - ready to turn back and walk all around the coast.

Went slightly wrong (nearly at the end) at 4m, when we tried to complete the circle by walking through Grubbins Wood ...big mistake. It’s a grim little wood and after 0.5m in we found it was a no-through route so added 0.5m back to the same entrance. Should have stuck on the coast but other than that - fabulous!

A good description lancashirelife dot co dot UK (Cumbria walk - Arnside Knott Circular)

A steep single track road up to the car park and with restricted access over a cattle grid. There are lots of paths and tracks to explore and once right at the top the views are amazing. It was bright and very cold with views right across Morcambe Bay and back up the valley.

Good footpaths make the steep walk to the summit a little easier. Great views of the surrounding area from the top
