This beatiful boat is inside the museum of Reggia di Venaria, in the Scuderia Juvarriana.
The bucentaur was commisioned by Victor Amadeus II in 1729, it was made on the boatyards of Venice, under the supervision of the renowned court architect Filippo Juvarra. The Bucentaur became a key element in Savoy court life , an authentic float palace. It was used for all the family's major celebrations.

The ornaments on the bucentaur are spectacular! It imposes both by size and craftsmanship. The attention to detail is astounding, I was very impressed by this barge.

Wonderful! The Kings and their courtesans spent very nice hours along the Po river, on this beautiful boat. It was bought in Venice and there are no others like this one!

The greatness of Doge of Venice. I cannot imagine the WOW effect it had on all the spectators seeing it on the waters. Too bad that only the Bucintoro is visible. The room contains 5 chariots but we cannot see them due to restorations. They will finish by June 2016.

The bucintoro was the Savoy kings ceremonial boat. The boat has been restored and is now on show at the Venaria Reale, Turin. The boat is part of a eye catching multimedia show. However, the dialogue is only in Italian. Still, it is interesting to visit.
