Il centro storico di Giaveno si caratterizza come luogo molto vivace dove vengono organizzate tantissime iniziative ed eventi specialmente la domenica. E' bello comunque percorrere le sue strade anche nei giorni feriali o in assenza di manifestazioni e godere dei particolari artistici, storici, di arredo (in particolare una pavimentazione totalmente realizzata in pietra) che offre questa zona di Giaveno. Il centro storico non è solo via Umberto ma anche via XX Settembre, piazza Claretta, Cardinal Maurizio con il Vicolo Breccia, parco Abbaziale con il vicolo Bacco, via e Piazza Sclopis, piazze S. Antero e S. Rocco Poco distante si può ammirare la fontana del mascherone (simbolo di Giaveno), il Palazzo Marchini ora sede del Comune ed il parco Comunale con, all'interno, una splendida fontana a cascata (non sempre funzionante però) in cui spicca una magnifica statua recentemente valorizzata da un intervento di restauro. Giaveno non è solo centro storico ma anche e soprattutto eccellenza di prodotti alimentari tipici quali formaggi, farine macinate ancora con i "vecchi" mulini e soprattutto, in autunno, i funghi della Val Sangone. Segnalo che per essere a conoscenza delle manifestazioni previste a Giaveno è sufficiente visitare il sito ufficiale del Comune o contattare l'ufficio turistico di questo Comune ..... Buona passeggiata

Il Centro Storico di Giaveno è il percorso ideale per una passeggiata rilassante .E' contenuto all'interno del perimetro delle antiche mura medioevali ed offre scorci storici interessanti risalenti a quando la cittadina era dominio dell'Abbazia di San Michele.L'occasione dei 4 passi permette di approfondire per le vie la conoscenza con i molti edifici e chiese di pregio che la popolano,non ultima la chiesa dei Batù.Il centro storico è stato oggetto di un ottimo processo di progressivo recupero da parte dell'Amministrazione Comunale con il contributo della Comunità Europea.Sarà ottima occasione per un buon caffè o gelato nei molti locali presenti su piazza San lorenzo e via Umberto I .Molti anche i ristoranti di pregio

Giovedì dopo una ciaspolata, sono stata a Giaveno per una passeggiata ed una bibita.
Mi sono subito imbattuta nel suo centro storico che comincia da piazza San Lorenzo e prosegue lungo via Roma.
All'inizio del centro si notato delle torri medievali inglobate nelle case: la passeggiata è bella e se si guardano le antiche case si possono ammirare gli affreschi dedicati ai promessi sposi.
Mi sono subito imbattuta nel suo centro storico che comincia da piazza San Lorenzo e prosegue lungo via Roma.

Quasi tutte le domeniche c'è qualche fiera. Ma è carino anche solo così. Una passeggiata molto agevole e qualche sana lettura grazie hai murales. E' raccontata in vari murales la storia dei "promessi sposi", molto ben fatti.

mi è piaciuto tutto, la posizione geografica, vicina a torino, ma immersa nella pace, le costruzioni particolari, le bellissime chiese, una affrescata anche esternamente, il cibo sano e genuino, gli angolini mantenuti nello stile antico ......

Très beau centre historique, décoré, vivant, avec de magnifiques monuments. Petites ruelles typiques avec du vieux, du rénové.
Un très joli parc bien entretenu. Très belles fontaines. Bref, à voir . Très belle fête des champignons en automne.

Il centro storico di Giaveno parte a monte della piazza San Lorenzo e di via Roma dove ci sono un paio di torri medievali inglobate nelle case. Il centro storico ha begli scorci nelle viuzze dove è piacevole passeggiare. Decisamente curiosi i murales dedicati ai Promessi Sposi che abbelliscono le antiche case.

Il centro storico di Giaveno ha un'antica storia risalente al medioevo, ricco di arte passata e recente e forse uno dei pochi centri che riesce a raccogliere così tante iniziative ed eventi. Le feste sono spesso teatro di stupende scenografie realizzate con addobbi e luci.

Borgo molto bello e case con affreschi ,le vie sembrano simili a quelle liguri, stradine che si incrociano in piccole piazzette, tante facciate ben ristrutturate da conservare meglio per attirare piĂą turisti anche per il mercatino.
