Unfortunately, most of the castle was closed and it took us about 20-25 minutes walking through it. This included watching about 10 minutes of the most boring history documentary of this castle. No, Bari got this all wrong and needs to go back to the drawing board. When it is finished and ready for tourists it may be worthwhile, up... More

I spend there 1.5 wandering around the castle with the audioguide (I recommend taking it!) . Th place is very interesting from the historical point of view. It contains a fascinating collection of masterpieces of mason works form across the Apulia as well as nice models of other castles. Some of the part of the castle were closed (it is,... More

Most of the Castello was closed and only 3 rooms were opened for visit. It took us only 10 minutes to go around. You can't walk around it and see the view outside. A bit dispappointed. 3 euro entrance fee and photos allowed.

They got money from Europe, but all the information in the castle is in Italian. No English. Also not in the film they show.

We decide not to go in but did take some photos, we enjoyed just wandering the streets of this lovely town.

We got lucky and visited freee 1st Sunday of the month or we might have missed this gem. The exhibition has moulds of hundreds of sculpures form the region and enabled you to see the detail up close We saw many of the sculptures later in the holiday in Trani, Lecce etc and it added to our pleasure a good... It's not a big castle but it's beautiful, very organized and by the beginning of the tour you have a 5 min film that tells you the history of the place. Every room has a stand with the most important facts that happened there.

We visited on a lovely spring day. It's 3€ entry and we paid 3.5€ for the optional voice guide in English. Which was money well spent as you learned the history of the castle and had a better understanding of what you were looking at. There is a large multimedia room all in Italian which explains the display rooms and... More

This castle has been restored several times and now stand out in almost perfect shape. While there is not a lot to see inside, it is still very much worth a visit!

When it's open, it's not the best. Make sure it is open the day you want to visit, as this seems an issue. Also, not much to see once you do enter. Three of the rooms of the castle were open for viewing. Still some great history to be learned here, and a cheap way to spend a couple hours.
