Great spot for bird migration
Sep 2020 • Friends
In the mornings from late July onwards into October, this is a wonderful location for a seawatch and also to observe large numbers of migrating birds. On my last visit there on Sept. 26, I counted 850 blue jays leaving the island. There were hoards of other migrants also. Unfortunately, the fog moved in and that was pretty well it for the bird migration. The scenery is worth the visit if nothing else.

Views of Bay of Fundy

Expansive views are nice but Lighthouse isn’t the most photogenic. Road turn to pot holed dirt 1/2 way there.

Wonderful View of The Bay of Fundy!
Aug 2017 • Friends
The Northern Lighthouse is a very short drive from the ferry landing. It is wonderful spot to see the Bay of Fundy or just sit and relax. From this spot you can hike to West Lighthouse.

Wonderful view and Wonderful hiking trail
Sep 2016 • Friends
This is a great location - a wonderful hiking trail all along the ocean and a great place to see the sunset - The trail is good under foot and has lots of wild flowers growing along the pathway. Such a great stress free place - I recommend this lighthouse and a good walk.

Great View! Great Hike!
Aug 2016 • Friends
We stopped here on our way to the seal colony. What a beautiful area. Because it was a foggy day, we had a double treat with the lighthouse shining and the fog horn going off. When we hiked to the seal colony, we were able to hear the fog horn from the West Lighthouse as well. Great to be able to compare and hear the differences.
The Coast Guard workers were great and very friendly.
Another bonus was finding a sea urchin "shell" while hiking.

A Great Place For A Picnic & To Watch The Sunset!
Aug 2015 • Couples
We always pack a cooler and enjoy a picnic lunch at Northern Light when we visit Brier Island. The panoramic views from here are breathtaking, and the rock formations make for some great pictures. Enjoy a beautiful sunset every night from this vantage point.

Much More than just a Lighthouse
May 2015 • Family
Northern light house is a nice stop on Brier Island. The lighthouse is operational and there are picnic tables and a guest book. The members of the Coast Guard are stationed here and were very informative. This area is the starting point for a hike to seal cove to see the seals.
