We did the traverse in 3 days (Posibul in 2 days if you make the last day long ;)
We just run in to some locals we chatted with all evening in Japanise camp.

There are options for water half way if you can clean it.
But any way bring around 3-4 liters per person. We met some how was out of water.

Easy rute finding, hardest part is to get on the trail from Bremi. No need of a Guide.

Unlike the other mountains on the island of Java, Mount Argopuro don't have too many visitors. This may be due to the long and tiring track, ideally 5 days 4 nights, or at least 4days for those who have more stamina.

My first day, start trekking from Baderan basecamp, then camp at Mata Air 1.
Second day, camp at Cikasur.
Third day, camp in Cisentor.
Fourth day, went summit without taking my packs. Going back down to Cisentor, then proceed to Danau Taman Hidup. But i didn't make it to Taman Hidup because it's dark, hazy, and the track is vague and almost impossible to be found. So i set an emergency camp that night.
Fifth day I proceed to Danau Taman Hidup, and then coming down to Bermi Basecamp.

In conclusion, it was a long journey, the track is up and down hills BUT it will paid you off completely.
During rainy season, the track became very slippery and with a heavy rain can turn into trench. Always be aware of leeches bite. Bring a durable & good quality raincoat, also some extra shirts and pants. Bring supplies for at least 5 days.

Keep the mountain clean.
Good luck and stay safe,
Salam lestari.

The most popular hiking start point either from Baderan or Bremi. This route has its own characteristic and time requirement. Argopuro is a mountain range with its peak goes to 3000 m as, the longest hiking track in Java. Plenty of spring water is available en-route every camping base. To get the most view and trail, I recommend to start from Baderan where we hike with sloping but not steep track until the first camping base. The most spectacular view is found on Cikasur where we can reach on the 2nd day, A massive savanna with origin fauna could be heard and seen, eq. fowl, monkey, peafowl, deer. Extend the time to enjoy and rejuvenate the tiredness and set a tent here for the next route. On the third day, we are heading to Cisentor and proceed to Summit if time is allowed to go. Otherwise, we may set up a tent in Rawa Embik and goes to the summit early in the morning. It takes 3 hours hiking from Rawa Embik to the Summit of Argopuro.
