To all those moaning about the fact there isn't as much to do as in their native country, then you missed the point. The views are breathtaking, the history is interesting; from the view point of the exhibit of swords plus the detailed history of...More

Interesting fortress. Compare to other fortresses not that impressive. But what is impressive is where it was built. Great views of Split and the Croatian Coast Line. The history of the fortress and the area is impressive.

Eh, less interesting than expected seen as it was in game of thrones. Only two exhibits, one of which is just like. Swords and stuff. Good views of split though

Interesting fortress, with a small exhibit inside. Otherwise, not much else to see besides walking around the fort... It is easy to access from the parking lot (3min walk upward)... I definitely recommend combining it with a stop at Restauran Perlicka for amazing Lamb!

Considering in the UK you pay much less for much more, I was very disappointed. You get good views but the actual fortress was not very interesting. They also shut open at 10 am and shut at 7pm! Which means it’s open at the hottest...More

This was a very impressive fortress! We had a car while in Split and it's an easy drive from the city with lots of parking. It cost money to get in and they only except cash so make sure you have Kuna with you. It...More

Really impressive fortress with very nice view. Easy to climb and even my teenagers liked it. The reconstruction is also well done!

Klis is an ancient fortress which over the years have fallen in disrepair, that was until Games of Thrones was filmed there. The fortress itself is small and it can be explored in a short time it is very interesting and the views of the...More

As a huge GoT fan this place was on my go to list. Took the no.22 bus from the Croatian national theatre in Split for 13 Kuna (every 30 minutes), the bus itself was very cramped due to rush hour but it drops you at...More

In general it is "only" about few half broken walls, corridors, courtyards and gates, but which ruins are different? The view from the Klis is phenomenal - Split and sea in front of you and more hills some of which are higher than you behind....More

You can easily spend a couple of hours here and if you research them you can find the areas used in filming of the series but also could get round it quickly if you wished. We went round twice just to make sure we took... More

There is a big enough parking place nearby, we left our cars there, there was no problem or incident. I honestly believe it is safe for you or anyone to leave the car there. We had our own car, Romanian number and Hungarian... More

I think it would be fine as there aren't very many steps! The entrance is more of a hill and you could walk around the fortress at your own pace :)
