Nice street
Sep 2018 • Business
Typical street with a lot of different shops. Relatively clean. It was a pleasant walk under the orange trees.

Nice shopping street

Nice shopping street. No traffic and a lot of shops. Not the best, but when staying in Bagheria a nice place to spend and hour.

A slice of local life
Sep 2016 • Couples
We walked up and down the Main Street with the locals who were having their Saturday evening promenade. Great to be part of the atmosphere where you could hear the buzz of multiple generations chatting and interacting - and not on smart phones.

Main shopping district in Bagheria

Nice collection of shops and a couple places to grab a bite or gelato. They are closing the street at times to make it more pedestrian friendly but this seems unnecessary and actually harmful to the businesses (there are very wide sidewalks and it makes driving around there a huge pain during those hours). They really need a nice sidewalk cafe or two. I dont remember any nice eateries that would make it more of a destination.

Only made mildly interesting by the fact it had the sales on when I was there! Not even any good cafes or restaurants.

Nothing special

The Corso Umberto I is the setting of the film Baaria with Magereth Made. In the film it's a very nostalgic settting, in reality it is rebuilt with a lot of buildings in modern style (and some really ugly). Of course it's all about the view on the Madrice de Bagheria just like in the movie . The center is (was) not indicated from the railstation, so be prepared before you go !
