We chose to stay in Vigevano instead of Milan on the day before our fight home. What a mistake. The town is dirty, boring, and lacks activities. The museums have short, oddball hours. The locals act like, "Why are you here?" There are hardly any...More

Beautiful and historical and always the social center. There is always something going on there. There was a car show there when we were there. All kinds of restaurants from high end to snacks and just coffee, even fast food. And surrounding the Ducale are...More

Walked around the Piazza and then through the castle which is practically attached. This piazza is full of interesting coffee shops and restaurants.

An amazing square and very unusual. With beautiful painted walls. It was so busy I felt it was spoiled really. Cafes were heaving and we ordered water and cakes but they were so long coming we left without them. Not a relaxing place to sit.

Day 4 (for me ) would not work…I would do either the islands or the beach…there is only one skyline bar that I know of and it is quite the place…as to Rialto market…it is closed on Sunday and the fish market is closed on Monday so I don't know what days you are there…obviously others will chime in with other ideas also the basilica, st marks square and the palazzo ducal(doges palace are all together so I am not sure why you would separate them…but all this of course is just my opinion...

As I was browsing on TA, i read one poster who mentioned that the Secret Itineraries tours only operates Thurs. to Tuesdays.... does that mean there are no tours on Wednesdays?? As it happens, Wed, is the only day we have time to visit Piazza Ducale :o( Has anyone taken the tour recently? And if so, do you know what days the tours take place?
