I discovered Atariki Diving Centre by accident on a walk from Hanga Roa up to Rano Kau. It's only about five minutes from the south end of Hanga Road in a little harbour. Marcos speaks English thankfully as I don't speak Spanish.

He explained that the Island's diving is determined by the weather and the direction and strength of the wind. I asked him lots of questions about why he couldn't say which site we would be diving at until the morning of the dive and he was happy to explain. Fair enough.

We visited the underwater Maoi and also dived Rana Kai with more fish etc. Both highly recommended. They do snorkelling too but sadly we didn't have enough time.

I found the team refreshingly laid back and I didn't feel rushed and shoehorned into a schedule. They were all very professional and I would highly recommend Atariki to anyone, whether an advanced diver or new and would like to learn.

Wonderful diving experience, we prefer it over other centers because the descent is personalized, a guide for each person, which for a beginner gives a lot of security. First there is an instruction talk and then the boat trip to the sea. The guides were very friendly, we highlight Otto, Luis, Hugo and Don José, who had a lot of patience to give me the peace of mind and confidence to give myself over to diving. Downstairs it is naturally beautiful, they take photos and record videos (don't put a thumbs up to take photos or they will upload them hahaha). I appreciate everyone's friendliness and charisma, good teamwork, and I particularly thank Joaquin Pakarati for his teachings on diving. I am happy to have chosen this adventure with you. Maururu

Excellent experience and attention. From the first contact, the attention was very friendly and clear, on the day of the dive the team's explanation was very clear and complete, they took the time to resolve each of our doubts and give us peace of mind that we were in a safe and with a professional team. Except for the normal nerves of a first experience, I think that without a doubt the team showed off with impeccable attention for an experience that changed our lives forever. I would return and recommend it without a second thought!

Atariki Diving Center I totally recommend it. In addition to being looked after by their own owners, beginner dives are a luxury as you are always under the supervision of the Guide. It is a unique experience, and I recommend not to stop diving before leaving the island.

Thanks total guys!!

One of the best experiences I have had in life, without a doubt an activity that must be done on the island, the center has very professional people who are attentive to clients, they manage to give you confidence and peace of mind, even more so when it was my first time doing this activity, Good training and very attentive when doing the dive, providing a lot of security. I'm happy with my photos and videos!!

To be the first time I did diving I felt very comfortable, the first class instructors!! Uncle José (I don't remember his name well hahaha) a dry, La Coni too dry, very friendly understandable and patient both. If you have to dive ask them not to regret very good treatment with people. Hope the next time I go we can dive again 🌸🌸🌸 maururu chiquillos 🌸🌸🌸 a very quality dive 👌👌👌 comment from La Calera Chile

Incredible experience! Everyone is super friendly, Mari in the office and the instructors Pepe, Javi and Joaco who are very professional, have a lot of patience and always make sure you feel comfortable and enjoy the activity. They are educational in explaining safety measures, especially when there are beginners, and they try to personalize the service to each person's experience and taste, even when the excursion is in a group. They also take good photos and videos and send them to your accommodation. The teams are very good and have thick suits. Super recommended! :)

Amazing experience! Mari in the office and the guides Pepe, Javi and Joaco are super professional, very patient and always make you feel comfortable. They are very kind and didactic in explaining security measures, especially when there are beginners, and they try to personalize the service for each person, even when there are different levels of experience within the same group. They take good photos and videos and send them to the accommodation. The equipment is very good and they have thick suits. Totally recommended! :)

If you are certified diver it is one of the only dive centers that takes you to points outside the bay, we went to the motus 2 times and it was great!!
In addition when the bay closes, few centers leave because of the conditions Joaquin took us equally to tour. You know the island and its climate well.
