Easter Island, (aka Rapa Nui) is a Chile’s remote volcanic island. Its native name is Rapa Nui. It’s known as archaeological UNESCO sites with more than 800 monumental statues called moai, created during the 13th–16th centuries. The moai are carved human figures with oversize heads. It is about 5 hours flight from Santiago and the permit entry to the island must be completed on the web prior being allowed to get the boarding ticket at the counter. MaKe sure to keep the immigration document with your passport for the return flight. The sceneries and the formation of the moai at several key locations from the West side (e.e., Tahai) and East side (e.g., Rano RaRaku) are just spectacular, especially at the sun rise and sunset. The park pass will only allow entry to each park per day only. The foods are quite good at many places in the island and there are several small market places for foods and drinks, etc. We spent 3 days and 2 nights with a rental van. It’s easy to drive around the island, but we do need to download the google map of the island prior to be there. It helps to navigate around the island. Highly recommended.

We toured for two days with our guide Franco & 6 other guests.
He was so knowledgeable & accomodating. Each day we were invited to Marcus & Alicia’s home for lunch where we ate & listened to them singing. They are such welcoming owners - would highly recommend these small group tours!

I signed up for the tour to see the hidden gems of the island and it was worth every penny. It was a group of three total, and the guide, Maeva, was incredible. Very knowledgeable, and when the other two members of the group wanted to tweak the itinerary a bit (I was also in favor), she didn’t miss a beat. She was hugely knowledgeable and friendly-just the kind of guide you hope to find. The company also gave us water bottles and a huge lunch as part of the tour (I ended up getting three lunches out of the bag of snacks and sandwiches they gave us). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to anyone I liked.

Cannot tell how impressive these days have been. I'm already in love with South America after these 4 days. Chile has been amazing, but Easter Island, wow, this was different. The statues are in the middle of nowhere and the theories behind made me speechless.
What could improve here is the infrastructure, because it's quite expensive due to connection problems. Anyway, worth every penny to visit!

My wife and I booked two tours and paid for both in advance. We were unable to take the second tour because we had to get on the last commercial flight off of the Island due to Covid 19. Easter Island Travel won’t refund my money and ignored my emails. I hope to go back to EI some day but will never give EI travel any money again. Lore was my contact and talks a great game but doesn’t deliver.

We booked the sunrise tour plus tour A and B and were lucky enough to have Andreas both days. His knowledge and enthusiasm for his Island's history were inspiring and made the visits to the sites so much more meaningful. We would strongly recommend this company and suggest you ask for Andreas!

I learned so much and had a blast with both my guides, Benjamin and Maeva from Easter Island Travel. Maeva in particular is very interesting and engaging. She's half Rapa Nui and half Chilean with excellent storytelling skills. We learned about the history of the island and heard stories passed down through oral tradition. I could have visited all the sites myself, but would have missed out on all the interesting stories and details had I not join the tours. Thank you for showing me your beautiful island!

Took the Tongariki Sunrise Experience in a private tour for my family of 4 through Easter Island travel. The driver/guide was prompt on time in the morning for pickup at our accommodation. Complimentary breakfast bags were a surprise for my party of 4 and highly appreciative. The sunrise experience was unique despite the cloud cover in the morning. A great opportunity for photographers to click some unique pics. Certainly would very highly recommend this tour to any traveler in Easter Island.

My family of 4 did a customized 2 and 1/2 day tour of Easter Island with Easter Island Travel. Our tour was very well organized and had an extremely knowledgeable/flexible/punctual/courteous local guide/driver that made our trip on the island extremely memorable. We were provided with food bags from time to time, which was a big pleasant surprise. We were also hosted for lunch on 2 days in the premises of the travel agency’s owner’s home with true Rapa Nui hospitality, which was the greatest surprise. I would certainly very highly recommend Easter Island Travel to any traveler visiting the island for any kind of itinerary.

Understandably, the tour guide (Jose) is proud of the history but it is not appropriate to keep lecturing for ONE hour in front of the same statue! He reminded me of my professor at college who simply read the slides. So for those who are more interested in nature beauty and the statues themselves, please do not select this travel company.

Also, the tour guide made fun of his former China tourists continuously during first day of the trip (I booked two tours, one for each day), making me very uneasy and embarrassed as a Chinese. He even asked me why I did not pose the same funny gesture as his former Chinese tourists did when I was taking a photo. Excuse me? When I kindly reminded him not to tease Chinese tourists anymore the next day, he did not feel sorry at all in the first place.

Hi Pipipapa, If one is mainly interested in the beauty of nature and photographing the statues, I'd suggest not taking archaeological tours. We can also organize photographic private tours, but this would have a higher price than a group tour. I'm sorry you felt uneasy, but your claims couldn't be any further from the truth. I can assure you that José doesn't have anything at all against Chinese. Actually it's on the contrary - he has a great personal interest in Asian cultures. He has knowledge of both Mandarin and Cantonese, and speaks Japanese fluently, 100% self-taught. Here at Rapa Nui we often speak freely, since people here have an innocent mind, though nothing is meant by it. In fact, I have yet to see another place like this, where people are totally open-minded with any ethnicity, sexuality and social status.
