My review pertains to the customer service provided by this company for this particular tour. This company holds monopoly for the stargazing tour on Easter Island and has an extremely liberal cancellation/refund policy for this tour. Booking on line on their website was easy. Didn’t receive a voucher of confirmation for same but was assured by the representative that it is not a problem. Notifications regarding the tour were on time. However on the eve of the tour, the tour got canceled due to cloudy weather. Upon reaching the office was assured that refund will be made promptly, which was done. Would certainly consider doing this unique tour during my next visit to Easter Island.

Booked this tour directly online on Green Island Tours website which costed USD90. Note that this tour is not available a few days before and after the full moon and also not available every night. I went during full moon so the tour was only available for 1 out of the 8 nights I was there. And of course it is also weather dependent. Went to the their office on the main street, there were about 15 of us and we were taken by van to somewhere between Ahu Tongariki and Anakena. There are chairs and blankets set up for everyone and we were splitted into 2 groups - English and Spanish. The guides gave an introductory talk about stargazing, amazing to learn how sailors use stars as compass to help them navigate. Also for someone living in a city who rarely get to see any stars, it was utterly amazing to see the milky way. The guide also pointed out Taurus which happened to be my horoscope. They provided hot chocolate and snacks for everyone, nice touch. Later on, we were driven to Ahu Nau Nau on Anakena Beach, one of the staff sang a traditional Rapa Nui song. They then took a photo with the milky way in the background for everyone. We were all dropped off at our accommodations after the tour finished, this can took a while, understandable as everyone's accommodations are scattered around. And the photo was emailed a few days later which was nice. I really wanted to learn night photography and they do have a tour, it costs USD350 though, really wish they offer this as a group tour so the price can be lowered.

Thank you for taking the time to write about the Stargazing Experience. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us. We can always set up a group for night photography tours so we encourage others to ask early so we can set up a group and solo travelers can share costs. Iorana e Maururu!

Even if the day was cloudy and you are not sure about the weather conditions for a stargazing experience, just book it and go! The company is excelent: the responses on whatsapp were almost imediate and, when my mom got sick the day I was first booked, even with barely no advance notice, they allowed me to postpone the tour. Will not forget that or take it for granted. The guides, the infrastructure and the whole experience plan are awesome: expect to say wow a lot The views are superb: and you can proudly show it to everyone back home, as you get a perfectly taken photo afterwards

The whole experience was amazing. the guide was very knowledgeable. The cloud cover was about 40% but that did not detract from what was a fantastic evening. Many constellations were pointed out. We also saw a satellite! An evening that will last long in the memory.

What a night full of surprises. The best part was the stars. No, the best part was the guides, who explained much and sang Rapa Nui songs, and took us back to the skies of their ancestors, I felt deep emotions throughout the night.
