It was good to see all the rescue stuff they are foing for these animals. Unfortunately it was so hot that we couldn't finish watching the film info. It was a shame you couldn't get closer to the Seals but understandable

I went there from Groningen and did´t know what really expact from Seal Centre. Seals were very cute but the Centre as an attraction for tourists was a little bit small. One must think the center is primarily "hospital" and not attraction, so think your money is for animal goodness and not your amusement. I have to say that I... More

It was the perfect day to go to Pieterburen for the Seal Rehabilitation centre. Easy to find in the small village in the North of The Netherlands. You can learn much about life and the threats for the sea dogs. They have the animals behind glass and outside so you can watch how they look when they come in and... More

Only four stars as every film is in Dutch only. This seal rehabilitation and research center is about the rescue and release of baby and young seals. However, you'll learn quiet a bit about the (possible negative) impact humans can have in our creation. Once the seals get to this rehab, they'll nurse them, wane them (from humans) and release... In this really small village the zeehondencrèche is a valuable asset. A big team of dedicated people is working on the health and wellbeing of quite a big number of seals. Kids love to see these adorable animals. The place also educationable for older people. It was a pleasure of being here! Take into account that during off season nothing... More

This is a cute museum like experience. There is enough inside to keep the kids occupied for max 1 hour. Nice but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

This is foremost a hospital and rescue mission for seals with even a seal ambulance parked out front! It's generally a small museum, but very well suited to young kids, and there are seals in various stages of recovery. Be warned, some of the injuries can be a bit grisly for not the best for the very sensitive. Highly educational.

The work that they are doing here is great but the visit is basically a promo movie followed by the viewing of the tanks where they seals are being treated. You can see the whole thing in about 15 minutes. Consider the cost of your ticket a donation to help them keep treating the seals. My kids liked it but... More
