This place is beautiful and so peaceful! There isn't much to see there but the lady working there was excellent at explaining their processes for making the cheese. We samples milk and gelato and then we're pretty happy to discover 'picnic' packs of three of their cheeses! We could also purchase some crackers so we had a great picnic out on their covered deck!
I wish they served coffee and perhaps fresh bread to have with our picnic , but it was still a lovely stop point for the gals on a break!

A must stop for Cheese lovers. Since I love Fox Hill cheese this was a double bonus for me. Great chance to sample and buy cheese.

If you like cheese, this is the place for you. They have a large variety as well as gelatto (I think that's the spelling). You can see the process involved in making cheese, but was disappointed that they did not have Blue Cheese. I was advised that this one is imported and they ran out of stock. To get to Fox Hill Cheese it is quite the country road but they also have a booth at the Wolfville Farmers' Market every Saturday and they carry quite the variety with them. The place to go for fresh cheese.

We went in expecting something special, were we disappointed. It is very pretty from the outside. When we entered the girl barely acknowledged us (we were the only customers there). She was busy cutting up cheeses. We expected to be offered samples in order to promote their products, we weren't. After looking around for about 10 minutes, and still not a word from the girl, we left. I guess they aren't to keen on selling or being friendly to their guests. I would definitely scratch this off my list and I was quick to tell other travellers the same.........Don't waste your time.

We stopped for gelato and the gelato was very good. The person waiting on us seemed annoyed and was not friendly. No eye contact, not a crack of a smile, nothing. I would not go back as the service was horrible. We went out of our way and we disappointed with the poor service.

I always wanted to come to the actual cheese house. I have gone to the Halifax locations before and have purchased the cheese at noggins but though I would be able to see the cheese and maybe be able to sample some at the cheese. Boy was I wrong. It is quite off the beaten pack as my gps had me on a few side roads but we finally arrived. There were people in the store and the most unfriendly worker. You had the choice of what was being sold in the cooler. You didn’t receive any help. You just felt like you were an annoyance for him. We did purchase cheese but we were all shocked by the experience. I really hope they hire another person to look after the store and let him deal with the back of house stuff.

We stopped here after sampling some Fox Hill cheeses at Planters Ridge Vineyards. The sales person was a bit quirky but there was a good selection to choose from with many variations of Gouda and Havarti. We bought a pepperoni that was too strong for my taste and a Roasted Garlic Quark that was too garlicky even though I love garlic. The sales person did warn it was very garlicky but I never suspected it to be that strong. The other cheeses were quite good and we have been back several times now.
