Fantastic visit
Sep 2019 • Couples
We were staying in Siena and fancied visiting one of the nearby Terme. We took the advice given to us by our Air B&B host to visit Terme Antica Querciolaia. The 107 bus from Porta Ovile dropped us just a short walk from the entrance to the Terme.
Reception staff were helpful and spoke English. We brought our own towels but all those in the know had brought their own flip flops and bathrobes. Changing facilities were fine, lockers are 2 euro which is returned to you.
The pools themselves were excellent, we went on a Monday and there was plenty of room and plenty of sun loungers to be had. The pools were nice and warm and clean.
There is a slight smell of rotten eggs but you soon get used to that and get on with enjoying the experience.
Make sure you take some body wash for the shower when you are finished using the pools.
There are 5 outdoor pools and 2 indoor.
There is also a cafe but a lot of people brought their own food and drink
All in all a very enjoyable day.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back

Has all the Facilities
Sep 2019
My adult family wanted a spa that had the health baths as well as the messages and steam and saunas. We were not disappointed. This spa has everything at a very reasonable price, but bring along you towels, robes, soap and shampoos for the showers you take after the baths or messages/facials. Loved the outside setting and the inside set up as well. It was ultra clean, hooray. The cafe had good snacks to buy.
All prices were very reasonable.

Something Different
Jul 2019 • Family
We chose this particular spa for its location, but compared to the others we considered, this lacked in amenities. However, you get what you pay for. At €13 per person (weekday afternoon), it provided locker rooms in which to change, lockers for €2 (refundable when you put the key back in), use of a toilet, shower, and hairdryers. But they don’t provide any soap, shampoo or conditioner, so if you don’t bring your own, your shower is simply a clean water rinse.

Outside the locker rooms, there were 2 indoor and 5 or 6 outdoor thermal spa pools, ranging from warm to warmer to hot. The sulphur smells weren’t as bad as some reviewers suggested, which was good. And there were plenty of chaise lounge chairs available for use. Their website noted rules such as keeping the noise down, showering before use of the pools, and not using any floats in the pools (among other rules), but we saw plenty of foam rings (floats) and lots of new arrivers going straight in the pools without showering. (Hot/cold faucet showers were next to every pool entrance.)

The cafe was also a disappointment, but that could’ve been due to the time we ate. We wanted a late lunch around 16:00, and the cafe was open for business, but had minimal offerings left by that time. Only a few prosciutto sandwiches, fruit cups, pastries, ice cream and drinks.

All in all, the visit was a no-frills, different way to spend a few hours. If given the choice in future, we’d probably try one of the other Termes instead.

Excellent massages
May 2019 • Friends
We visited as a group and all had different treatments. My Synergy massage was excellent and pinpointed all my problem areas without any need to highlight. The pools outside were lovely and warm, and you get used to the sulphurous smell pretty quickly. Everything was clean and friendly.

Hot pools when it's a little cold outside = great sensation
May 2019 • Couples
Great little place to spend an afternoon. I personally loved that it was not crowded and the placement of the pools within the park and grass gave visitors a lot of freedom. I would like to believe the water healing properties are also worth it. Loved how hot the water was in a few of the pools and enjoyed the inside pool option as well. The price asked for extra stuff that travelers may not have (like robes, towels, slippers etc) I felt was too high. Loved the fact that they do not allow eating or drinking in the pools areas, keeps things clean and civilized. Lovely for a chilly snny day in spring!

Excellent Spa in the Tuscan countryside - not expensive and a very relaxed and enjoyable experience in lovely warm water. They have several pools to enjoy and an excellent cafe.

Avoid the sauna
Nov 2018 • Couples
We visited Terme to relax and enjoy sauna. Unfortunatelly it was not like that :( they are offering three (?!) post to lay down and relax for 10+ people in there. There is only one finninsh and one turkish sauna, but ok, at the recept. told us that... but they didnt tell us that u have to wear bathingsuits in sauna?!? That is agains all hygienic rules and common sense. Overall hygiene is veeeery questioning. 60 euros for 2 people for 2hours. :-(
Definitely not going again!

A spa with no towels
Oct 2018 • Couples
I went to this spa today and paid 15 Euros for entry. Upon entering the spa I asked for a towel because as a visitor I didn’t have a fresh one at my apartment. There were none available for free or rental. I was given a paper gown to wear but it didn’t have the absorbency necessary to dry oneself off when you got out of the water. I was told there might be some in the afternoon but there was no evidence of any when I left at 3pm. Instead I used my fleece jacket when I got out of the thermal pools after an hour. I have attended this spa before in years past and don’t remember the no towel policy. It’s a quiet, relaxing spa in a beautiful setting but with a 15 euro charge they should be expected to provide a towel.

Felt Fabulous!
Sep 2017
This is a very relaxing hotel and spa with great service! I felt amazing after several days of just relaxing in the waters, having a few spa services, and enjoying the hotel restaurant meals. Everything was lovely - so I didn't even mind the sulfur scent!

One thing is the smell of sulfur its reasonably strong but if it didnt smell that way you know ot wasnt real!
Worth the visit and staying a while, I can see this place being very busy over weekends and hoilday periods so consider when you would like to visit
