Amazing place to sunbathe and swim in sheltered lagoons. Either head for the couple of beach areas or into the quieter rock shelters in the sand dunes if the wind is blowing excessively.
Spectacular waves breaking onto the rocks are just mesmerising. Further out there are naturists scattered about the rocky areas.
This place is one of the most relaxed and favourite beaches to visit in the world. Take your own picnic if you're staying for any length of time although there is a food and drink shack, but we didn't try it. The town is just a short stroll away with many restaurants and views.

Beautiful golden sand beaches and clear blue sea with a shallow lagoon at high tide. The main Concha beach is naturally protected by rocks so feels safer than the main beaches when it is a bit rough.

It would have been perfect but for the numerous naked people who seem to insist on walking close by us and standing nearby. Considering, due to Covid, people are supposed to be social distancing, they were unsocial and far too close for my liking! Since Fuerteventura seem allow naked sunbathing everywhere we can't seem to get away from them, and it has almost put us off returning here after previous visits. I don't mind if they keep themselves to themselves, but they don't, and seem to relish in coming by clothed people and standing close by for what seems like a long period of time.

This beach is stunning. It has an expanse of golden sand, aqua blue sea and rock pools. The waves are amazing to watch and it is a mecca for windsurfers. You can sit for hours watching the windsurfers riding the waves. A great day out and it is free! Close to the beautiful fishing village of El Cotillo with its beautiful harbour and many fresh seafood restaurants. A great day out for all the family!

Extremely quiet, very few bars and shops nothing on the beach except one bar which has a couple of toilets but is a trek depending where you sit on the beaches. Beaches are lovely some with rocks others with golden sand and all beautiful clear water. Its not like other resorts with all the usual shops that sell the same of everything these were mainly handcrafted items. Hand craft market on a friday was very small. Local bus to Correlejo is reasonably priced (we were told) and worth a visit, we took advantage of hotel free bus but only had a couple of hours so didn't see much of correlejo but it was busier. If you just want to rest and not spend money then this is definitely the place to go.El cottilo harbour was like a little cornish village.
Took about an hour transfer from the airport. Weather was lovely in the day but chilly in the evening needed long trousers and long sleeve top.

Overhyped beach & lagoons these are! Entire El Cotillo beach strech has rocky bed with lot of sea weeds in the water that too around 30mins drive from Corralejo.
However, drive 5 mins furthet along the coast towards the light house for picture perfect white sand dunes and nice lighthouse (for us white sand dunes were the highlight rather then the beach).
Had a overpriced lunch in a local restaurant with not so great fresh fish.
Overall, didn't had fun visit.
Playa Grandes have much better beaches that too just 8mins drive from Corralejo.

The lagoons at El Cotillo are truly beautiful. The water is crystal clear and the sand just lovely. The lagoons are a great place to swim safely (with the fishes) and the beach just perfect for sunbathing. (The furthest end of the beach is a nudist beach). There is a little cafe on the beach that is really popular. The food there is great - we ate there several times!

El Cotillo is a lovely relaxed old fishing village. If you haven't found it first time around on your trip to Fuerteventura then you have truly missed a great experience!

Beautiful white sandy beaches. It was windy when we visited and sand covered the towels we sat on within minutes. It’s the Atlantic Ocean so the knee high water takes a while to warm up, so we were told.

Amazing lagoons great for swimming as calmer than most beaches here. Stunning scenery, great beach bar Torinos. Best place to sit and watch the sunset.

Loved this beach. A hidden treasure, I believe. When entering the village of El Cotillo, turn left and follow a dirt road. Just park by the edge of the cliff and the beach is right in front of you. Amazing waves, beautiful sand, unspoiled and not many places. Also called Sunset Beach, as the Sun going down is breathtaking.
