Normally love the LoRomero experience, but compelled to write a review to highlight slow play. We (3 ball) waited on every shot from the 1st hole onwards, I used the interactive comms to raise a message to the Marshall, but no one came out. All that happened was a message to our buggy’s to say we were 20minutes behind. Spoke to the buggy bar lady and asked for a marshall, same thing, an automated message on the buggy’s to say we are behind….. We were behind a society and it wasn’t the group in fronts fault, so you need human interaction to ‘have a word’, you can’t rely on a text to get the message across. Greens were peppered but it is high season. Just short of 5 hours is not good, even if we are just relaxing, the slow pace at high seasons prices was the main issue. Needs managing. Anyway rant over…. Course is fantastic as ever, buggy’s are cool (apart from annoying messages), chilled place for a beer after too. A little bit more effort needed on the course and your back to my joint number 1 with La Finca!

There are so many courses in this area but this is one of my favourites. It is a great layout, very fair and playable by a range of handicaps. Pick the appropriate tee and it is a great test. Good shots are rewarded and bad shots get what they deserve without being unreasonable. There are some great holes. The last with the island green will always be the signature hole but there are a number of others that are crackers and a lot of variety in the layout and lengths. Staff are all very friendly and helpful and although there is no traditional clubhouse just now the log cabin type facilities for the pro shop and restaurant have everything you need. The food and service are always good.

My friends and I always play this course on our last day when we do a golf trip to Spain. It’s got a good set up and is always in great condition no matter what time of the year we play. The 18th Green is an island and always great fun. It’s worth a game if you are in the area.
