Visited for my husband’s birthday. Maria was extremely helpful and accommodating in organising our tour and light lunch (complete with pastries and birthday candles!). That the wines, olive oil and almonds were delicious and reasonably priced an added bonus! We’ll definitely be seeking out the Organic Monastrell in Waitrose when we return to London!

Got to the wine tour late due to travel inconvenience, however the lady stayed overtime for our session and gave us a memorable, fun and informative wine tasting/ tour. They also provided us a few of their red and white wines, bread and cheese which were all so delicious. Very grateful for the experience she gave us!!

We visited at short notice and had a great morning with Maria. The tour of the old winery, vines and new winery in English was friendly and interesting. We had a lovely time and then a mini feast with 3 wines to taste. Generous wine portions with almonds, empinada and olive oil. Thanks for a lovely time.

Last minute choice to visit this family run vineyard. We were not disappointed. Maria showed us around and was delightful. We loved our time there. Lovely wines ( we bought plenty) and a really enjoyable tour. We would def recommend!

In May 2019 we visited Jumilla to learn about Monastrell wine. Viña Elena offers a collection of Monstrell wines from 7 different terroirs of DO Jumilla area called Bruma. Ms. Loles was kind enough to presents us a vertical wine tasting of this collection. Marcona Almonds and olive oil tasting completed this fabulous visit. Marcona almonds (Queen of Almonds) only grow in Spain. They are bigger, sweeter and very tasty. Usually served sprinkled with olive oil and salt. Be sure to stop by when traveling this area. Viña Elena has a very nice shop. Further down the road we did a tour of Casa Rojo. (Macho Man Monstrell). We stopped at Los Tres Soles in Jumilla to have tapas for lunch. We stayed in Casa Boquera near Yecla. It is new and modern decor hotel with clean spacious rooms. Jumilla and most bodegas are 30-40 minutes away. To visit this area a car is needed. We rented a Fiat500 in Barcelona and drived south. Road were in very good condition and well marked. With updated good navigator it was very easy travel. Do your homework to determine what you want to visit. Google maps is my favorite to find things to do, restaurants and hotels.
