It is impressive approach the statue, both in the morning or at night. Access to the hill is free and easy.

So, one of goes, "what on earth is that?" as we approach the traffic circle. It took us about 3 times before we realized it was a huge white statue of Jesus. It reminded us of Rio, but it is actually larger than that statue by 3 metres (9.8 ft. It's absolutely huge. I read up on it and found out that it was completed completed on 6 November 2010. The figure is 33 metres (108 ft) tall, the crown is 3 metres (9.8 ft) tall, and along with its mound, it reaches 52.5 metres (172 ft) overall. Cost was 1.5 million payed for by the 21.000 residents of the nearby town. The statue gets more imposing as you drive closer.
Locals from Sulechow (nearby town) said derisively that it was constructed to put Swiebodzin on the map. No other reason. I guess there must be one given that Poland is historically a strongly Catholic nation. Anyway, it's imposing.

Not to be missed a Huge Statue to Jesus Christ along the highway between Berlin and Krakow. Impossible to miss as it is so big. A good spot to have a break while driving. Leave Berlin in the morning and have Breakfast in the town. Little English spoken but I found it easy to get breakfast. just make sure you have a cafe already noted to stop at as the town does not have a tourist area. so you need to know where you are eating at.

The Christ the King statue just outside the city of Swienodzin is well worth visiting. Completed in 2010, this statue is the tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world. It is truly a sight to behold. There is no admission fee and persons physically able may walk up the hill on which the statue stands to its base. Refreshments and souvenirs may be purchased; convenient parking and bathroom facilities are available as well.

I never knew this statue was in Poland 🇵🇱 and always thought the statue in Brazil was the largest in the world 🌍 This Jesus statue is the bigger by 3m.
It’s free. You can walk up to the statue. Not too many stairs. I was in awe looking up. It looks like Jesus is holding his arms out to you, the world and her people, pointing towards Heaven. I really felt such a strong sense of belief standing there. What a beautiful, amazing site. There is a hotel there but the reception was closed so we couldn’t buy any mementos. The toilets were available to use.
I am surprised I haven’t heard more about this wonderful statue in Swiebodzin or the place.
Well done Poland.

Putting aside religious beliefs, the statue is just plain ugly and totally out of place. A minor, unimportant town in the middle of nowhere trying to be Rio. But it did make the town famous in Poland, so maybe that was the point. Avoid.

We visited on our way back to Poland from Germany. Not far from the E30 (A2) it was an impressive statue in a less than impressive location, at least at night. The statue looks down on a Tesco hypermarket at the bottom of the hill. All our group felt the statue would work better in an existing place of pilgrimage - or in a beautiful natural setting (the sea or the mountains). Seems a bit anomalous where it is...

Christ the King Statue is easily visible from the highway, and is well worth stopping to get a closer look. It only takes a few minutes to exit the highway and it’s a short easy walk (no charge) walk to the base of the statue. I’ve been to Rio’s Christ the Redeemer and this is more impressive and not as commercial or crowded. Highly recommend!

It is well worth to get off the highway and drive 10 minutes off route to see this Jesus statue, which is more than 5 meters taller than the one in Rio.
