An incredible unforgettable experience. Everything was perfectly planned and executed. Riding in Sierra Nevada is truly magnificent - the landscape is just unsurpassable. I cannot recommend this experience enough - great company, great views, great food and amazing horses. I feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to experience this!

This trip exceeded our expectations in every way possible. A ten out of ten. We were all assigned beautiful, relaxed horses. We have been able to enjoy every step of the way, cause the horses were trustworthy and relaxed. The lunches were all home made and delicious and presented to us at the most beautiful spots. And especially thanks to Dallas, Mordecai and Jeanette. They love their horses dearly and the horses are treated with respect.

The views and peacefulness made this an outstanding experience. We feel so fortunate that they are open and willing to extend their season during the pandemic. Dallas was extremely patient with us as we had not ridden in quite a while. The horses were quite gentle and forgiving also. We took trails through the National Park in the Alpujarras and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. Dallas brought along a really delicious homemade picnic for us too that we thoroughly appreciated. We went in October and the weather wasn't an issue at all. This is a trip everyone should consider doing when in the south of Spain.

Fabulous way to see rural as Spain on well schooled, fit, well cared for horses. A riding holiday for experienced riders fit and who aren’t phased by heights! Food and accommodation is great. Picnic lunches in some of the most stunning locations. Dallas and Mordecai were excellent guides / hosts / horsemen (women).

A half day hack in the southern Sierra Nevada mountains with Sierra Trails was absolute bliss. Dallas and her brother take excellent care of their beautifully schooled Andalusian horses. The scenery was picturesque and the riding was varied and very well tailored.

Went to Dallas Love's sierra trails and had a fantastic time. The leaders come across as very knowledgeable and really lovely. The horses are beautiful, well trained and well looked after. The accommodation worked really well for us- as a shared house but with individual rooms and access to lots of tea and biscuits. The terrain can be tough but the views are amazing. Hope to return there next year! I highly recommend this place. x

It must be 20 years since our holiday with Dallas and I very much regret not having another but was diverted by going to Belize for 14 years and now I am too old! I am writing now because Tripadvisor didn't exist then and I just want to put on record that Dallas is an astonishing horsewoman, possibly second to Jean-Francois Pignon, but only just. Look him up. Go if you can

Sierra-Trails lives up to its reputation and more. The Andalucian horses are responsive, sure footed, comfortable and incredibly good natured. The scenery is truly breathtaking, with snowy peaks and distant views of the Mediterranean all at the same time. We saw a wide variety of flowers, a family of wild pigs, a dead badger, various breeds of cattle, Ibex, and a scorpion! The accommodation was lovely and the food (including Dallas’ picnic lunches) was delicious. The whitewashed villages complete with red geraniums and climbing roses were idyllic. To top it all off it is terrific value for money. This is an experience not to be missed.

If you're looking for an adventure on horse back then try Dallas Love Sierra Trails in Bubion, Spain. Dallas, Mordecai, Jeanette & Lisa have lots of interesting knowledge of the area and will take great care of you as you go on an amazing journey through the mountains and forests. The horses are beautiful and sure footed as they take you on an unforgettable experience. The food that Dallas prepared for our picnic was delicious and to wash it down we shared a bottle of wine, which amused us as the bottle was poking out of my saddle bag. This was a fantastic holiday and I am looking forward to going back.

We did the short stay breaks with 3 days riding and it was so much fun! The horses were all beautifully looked after and the people were all really friendly. The riding was fantastic going up and down the mountains, while the accommodation and food was also brilliant. I would certainly recommend this to anybody that can ride competently and hope to go back!!

Hi - Are there english speaking guides and is this trail safe for a 6 yr old?
Written October 22, 2017
The owner, her brother and the lady that went on a trail with my daughter are all British and were bought up in the area. They live next door to the stables. My daughter went on a trail for 2 hours on her own, she is 13 and is confident on a horse. She rides every week. I contacted them through the website and spoke directly to the owner Dallas. I would suggest you make contact with her. I did this both before we left the uk and while we were in spain prior to her trek. She replies promptly to questions - I am sorry I cannot answer on her behalf about the suitability of the trek for your 6 year old daughter.
