The views and peacefulness made this an outstanding experience. We feel so fortunate that they are open and willing to extend their season during the pandemic. Dallas was extremely patient with us as we had not ridden in quite a while. The horses were quite gentle and forgiving also. We took trails through the National Park in the Alpujarras and the views were nothing short of breathtaking. Dallas brought along a really delicious homemade picnic for us too that we thoroughly appreciated. We went in October and the weather wasn't an issue at all. This is a trip everyone should consider doing when in the south of Spain.

Spent 3 full days riding in the very capable hands of Dallas Love and her brother. The horses are really well schooled and responsive. Having ridden Welsh Cobs for the last 5 years, I didn’t think that it would be possible to find more sure footed horses.... I was very wrong. We encountered all types of terrain and never once did our horses faulter. As for the superb picnics provided and cooked by Dallas...... I would recommend Sierra Trails wholeheartedly, wonderful experience with like minded people. Thank you Dallas and all your team.

Sierra-Trails lives up to its reputation and more. The Andalucian horses are responsive, sure footed, comfortable and incredibly good natured. The scenery is truly breathtaking, with snowy peaks and distant views of the Mediterranean all at the same time. We saw a wide variety of flowers, a family of wild pigs, a dead badger, various breeds of cattle, Ibex, and a scorpion! The accommodation was lovely and the food (including Dallas’ picnic lunches) was delicious. The whitewashed villages complete with red geraniums and climbing roses were idyllic. To top it all off it is terrific value for money. This is an experience not to be missed.

I went for a day ride up into the mountains. The horses are not only beautiful, but a joy to ride. We saw snow capped mountains, rushing waterfalls, and a view across the sea all the way to Morocco. Delicious picnic lunch, and two friendly and knowledgeable guides, Lisa and Janet. What more could you ask for? A perfect day.

Just on my way home from an incredible short break with Dallas and Jeanette. From start to finish (and even before I'd arrived), their attentiveness and local knowledge made me feel completely at ease - despite travelling on my own! The 3 days riding through spectacular scenery was breathtaking, challenging and inspiring - I felt safe and enjoyed every minute spent with Dallas' beautiful horses. We had some great canters, and climbed (up and down) paths that had my heart in my mouth but the landscape was phenomenal and a thousand times more beautiful on horseback. Dallas prepared incredible picnics each day and I quickly got used to hopping on and off the horses to lead where necessary and give them a well deserved break after some incredible climbs. The weather was changeable but didn't impact the comfort of my trip. My accommodation was perfect and my hosts couldn't do enough for me. I relished a hot bath each evening and delicious meals at local eateries. Will be planning my return within 24 hours of being home, I'm sure!!
