We had a 4 hour walk with Steven last Wednesday, starting at 6am in the hope of seeing otters. Our route took us along the Thames river bank, then a climb up to Hartslock Nature Reserve where we saw pyramidal and common spotted orchids. We sat a while there admiring the wonderful view of the Thames valley. Then back through meadows and along a lane to Goring. Although we didn’t manage to see any otters, we saw a good number of birds, butterflies, insects and flowers, all of which Steven easily identified. His ability to identify birds from just a fleeting glance or a brief burst of song is remarkable and nothing seemed to elude his keen sight and hearing. His knowledge of all aspects of species and their behaviours and habitats is astounding and we learned a lot of detail. Also amazing is his ability to take superb photos, even of birds in flight. The weather was excellent, the scenery beautiful and the number of species impressive. We didn’t see any new bird species but it was certainly a very interesting and enjoyable morning and I would unreservedly recommend the experience.…

A splendid walk alongside the river from Goring for 2 miles or so, with the option of lunch halfway at The Beetle and Wedge, Moulsford, before returning. Steven proved very knowledgeable about all aspects of nature, including birds, mammals, flowers and insects, and readily pointed out much that we would have missed were it not for his keen eye and ear. He had the skill to identify and locate a bird by its song even when it couldn't be readily spotted, which was a great benefit. Also, being an experienced wildlife photographer, Steven was keen to share the photos he took during the walk, which often encouraged discussion and was an added bonus. Altogether, a very enjoyable and informative morning.…

Steve did a fabulous job during our first day in the UK. Foxmoor & Otmoor we’re a good mine of bird species, many of which were life birds for us. Steve was really dialed in on bird calls and where to find good views of the different species. The time flew by! There were so many memorable moments but I guess our favorite was seeing the Crane family from the blind/hide and having an extended show of their activities. Then on the way out, someone pointed out a Bullfinch and we marveled at his colorful chest. Steve’s skill with the camera really added to the experience, especially for us older folks with eyesight that is compromised. Thank you Steve for an unequaled experience.…

For anybody even remotely interested in our wildlife then i thoroughly recommend GG Wildlife Experiences. I was given a voucher fro my birthday and selected the Goring Walk which far exceeded my expectations. Apart from a fox snooping around on the bank of the Thames in broad daylight, House Martins collecting mud we then finished off with rare Crocus species. You can't really better that.…

Almost half way through the year, and have now been on several experiences with GG Wildlife Experiences. Kingfisher Walk, Walking Up An Appetite to a lovely lunch on the River Thames, Streatley Woodland Adventure, Ottmoor Starling Murmuration, and planning to do many more. The experience from Steve is second to none when it comes to the birdsong and photography skills to capture them. I now recognise a Chiff Chaff, and a Great Tit when i'm on my walks, and hope to learn a lot more. Never considered myself a small bird enthusiast, but the interest is now growing thanks to Steve. Highly recommend his walks.…
