stayed at carbis bay in september,a really great beach and not as busy as st ives which is a few minutes away on the train or a 30 minute walk along the cliffs if you can the walk is well worth it

It is a month since I was at the hotel but when we visited you were only aware of work when on the terrace or a little on the beach so not an issue as much in december I should think,

Think the previous answers are correct. However be aware that when we visited there was a huge amount of building work going on.
