With over 25 years of experience in the dive industry, Sierra Madre Divers is a PADI five-star instructor development facility located 10M from the crystal-clear water of Alona Beach. Under new management for the end of 2020, we offer fun-diving and PADI from beginner up to instructor level and beyond. Come join us and let us take you on a diving experience.

I have known Troy for several years when he used to work on mindora. It was such a pleasure to find he and his girlfriend Chen now the owners of Sierra Madre diving at alona beach. They have quite a nice set up but the real treat is the personalities and the professionalism that they both offer. They have local dive guides which I think is great. It is not only a dive shop but also a social gathering place. They do a great job making the store front an attractive and welcome place to sit and chat pre and post diving. They have a great knowledge of the local community and the islands in general. They are quite helpful with your everyday needs outside of diving. To be succinct, they are the total package!

Yeah – Absolutely wonderfulness being made to feel part of the diving family throughout time whilst undertaking courses @ Sierra Madre Divers ( "Sissy" fiancée taking her advanced open water with a lovely guy Mark, plus her numerous additional dives around islands and yours truly "GCD" open water with a real top guy Phil Lucas)
Our vacation together was probably dominated by diving and snorkelling. Absolutely no words can express the gratitude we hold for all the staff and dive masters for making this a tremendous and memorable trip oh yeah a special thank you to “Raphi”

Me and a friend went out to Basiclag Island with Sierra Madre with Joseph as our dive master. We dived at two sites Divers Heaven and Black Forest. It was our 6th and 7th dive so we are fairly new to it but Joesph was very attentive and helped my friend when she had ear troubles by taking her up a couple of metres and helping her equalize. They have a dive ratio of 1 dive master to 4 divers max. We saw lots of turtles, sea slugs, tropical fish clown/angel/frog. We had fruit inbetween the dives. Would recommend this outfit. The owner Troy is really nice and his dog Pepsi is very cute.

We did our PADI open water diver here and would definitely recommend it. Our instructor Dan was amazing, he made the education safe but also fun. I was a bit nervous before but i always felt comfortable and safe. Over all good energy and vibes. All instructors was good at english as well.

I and my friend took an open water diving course with Anton, an amazing, knowledgeable instructor. I really enjoy the way Anton taught me. It was clear and easy to understand and follow. His assistant Kasia is also a very nice lovely girl who accompanied me and my friend throughout every dive. Stephen is another one who helped explaining the lessons to us. Thank you all of you and also everyone at Sierra Madre Divers. I had a fabulous diving experience. If I continue doing an advance diving course, i will definitely go back to Sierra Madre Divers.

We just made our advance open water course with Sierra madre divers. It was amazing! Our instructor, Anton, was truly great! We realized soon that we were missing some important things from our open water course as unfortunately we weren't taught properly, he's been very patient with us and we went through again things that we were supposed to know already. Amazing teaching skills which is so valuable for people who really want to gain diving skills and knowledge. Real professionals. The whole center was really organized and also the equipment was in good condition. We highly recommend Sierra madre for your course or dives and you won't regret it. Thank you guys has been fantastic 😁

Came here to do my Open Water License. Had the pleasure to get Anton as my dive instructor - such professional and funny guy, you can really tell by his hand movements that he used to work as flight attendend - very visual instructions and he really wants you to understand the material. I was glad that they are so spontanoeous, I booked it the very same day as I started and they were always flexible with your needs. Will come again, but only with Anton ;)

I was there with a friend and we had a fantastic time. Very friendly staff especially Raphi and Samira. If you're going to dive at panglao, you have to go with sierra madre! The instructors are highly qualified and have a lot of experience.

It was amazing experience at SMD. Lovely people and beautiful environment here! We got open water dive course from Anton. He is very passionate instructor and always caring of us. Also, big thanks to Kasha who is diving together while she is taking the master course. We feel so safe in swimming pool session and under the water as well. Thank for everything, it was most enjoyable experience in Bohol. 👍🙏♥️

We completed our OW classes with number one - instructor Anton at SMD with total confidence and knowledge!! Anton took great deal of attention and corrected our individual problems. We got rewarded by doing two great dives at Balicasag Marine Sanctuary, Bohol.
Only thing we know is we will be back for our OW advance diver certification with Anton @ SMD .

Hi, I would like to know if that's possible to shorten the course duration since we have experience in diving and we only here for 10/9-12/9, is it too rush? Coz we don't have any licence but really want to have a try for the amazing view here underwater, thanks!
