Not really my type of beach. Too many vendors and too many tourisy boats right offshore

Lots of vendors ready to sell you just about anything. Stayed inside hotel grounds. View of beach with 100 or more boats right offshore wasn't the kind of setting I was looking... read more

Alona Beach was not the highlight of my visit to Panglao. Very disappointing. The goverment or business association responsible for tourism should do a better job in keeping this beach cleaner. Too much algae and seawee.

I have been travelling for 17 days along different places of the Philippines and definitely this is the most touristic place of all of them. The beach is not that nice, there are better beaches in the Philippines. If you go to Alona, I would recommend you to stay for one night if you are planning to go to Balicasag... More

We visited the part of the beach where there were a lot of restos and bars. Great white sand beach..You can spend your entire late afternoon walking across the beach then have a candlelight dinner in the evening (also by the beach), a lot of restos to choose from, it can get a bit crowded and noisy at night. The... More

Alona Beach is not worth visiting unless you're wanting a busy strip of restaurants, bars and dive shops. The water is full of sea grass and urchins making swimming undesirable. The water is full of parked boats and traffic taking away making it a very busy place. It's nice to have dinner on the sand but be prepared to be... More

They have white sand, the problem is, they are not maintaining to clean the area. It's just infront of the Hennan which is really cleaned and maintained. I seldom see tourist swimming on the beach. Mostly tourist came here for diving or going daytrip to Balicasag or neighboring island!

The beach is beautiful. White sand beautiful scenic views and very clean. It is quite long and has dedicated places to swim among the many dive boats.

We love Alona beach. A fun place. Love the evening ambiance. Romantic, fun and interesting. The fresh seafood is amazing. Be sure to try the crab and huge shrimps.

not just for divers a place to be! A wide range of bars, restaurants, hotels is existent there in every price level. Ok the beach for itself is not the best ever but at Panglao island are 8 others worth to visit. My advice: with the new Android App "My Panglao & Bohol", available in Google Play Store, you are...
