Lots of places to eat, lots of places for diving equipment and lots of places for organising boat/bus tours. Just stroll along the white sandy clear water beach and browse. A little bit of rubbish, I assume for messy tourists does bring the place down slightly. But only slightly. Definitely visit Alona Beach!

Alona beach is a very beautiful part of the Panglao Island. Sometimes a bit crowdy but can only mean its good ofcourse. Few big resorts there which are connected directly to the beach. During daytime alot of possibilities to do watersports or go on a trip with a boat. Evening is perfect for a walk and see the sunset. There... More

We watched the sunrise here which was stunning, however it fills with tourists rather fast. Drinks are cheaper on either end of the beach. Food is also relatively pricey down here. Nice to relax at, have a cocktail. After 5 they put tables on the beaches so you can sit to dinner on the beach in front of the waves.... More

It doesn't qualify as a beach. Coming from Malapascua it was a great disappointment and I was frustrated by the fact that I had booked the hotel for 2 nights. Not worth its review!

The sand is white and beautiful, Daves shakes is awesome... Other than that... We don't have much positive to say about the beach. The atmosphere was stressful, the beach vendors were herassing us all the time, the entire water line (except for one particular area) was filles with boats, and there were a lot of local children begging for money.... Long narrow tropical beach, lots of boats and divers fight for space at times with sunbathers and families. Plenty of hotels, bars, shops etc on the beachfront. Nice fine tropical sand, just don't expect a deserted tropical paradise.

It's important to begin this review with qualifying what makes a 'great' beach. If you are looking for a place to chill in the sand and take long walks along the shore, this is NOT the beach for you. If you came here to scuba dive, as we did, then absolutely, you've hit the jackpot. There is a limited supply... More

It's a small beach with restaurants and resorts along the beach. The beach is not very clean and the water at this time at least is not so clear. Some vendors along the beach and lots of boats of the shore.

Enjoyed our 5days stay there. As for the food and restaurants hmmm all average except for Dave's shake. :)

We had researched our visit to The Phillipines and wanted to try and enjoy a real mix of what The Philippines had to offer. We wanted to visit The Chocolate Hills so chose to stay near to Alona beach. We arrived with high expectations however we were really disappointed with what we saw. The strip of sand though white was... More
