If you have an option I will recommend to stay at the resort hotel. Nothing special at night it is Very touristic and crowded.

It was a lazy Sunday morning and we have done quite a lot at Bellevue Hotel so I invited two relatives to go to Alona Beach, a 30 minute tricyle ride. The scenery was quite rustic with the provincial air, swaying palm trees, nice roads and bougainvillas along the fences of the modest houses along the road. Alona Beach is... More

If you're planning to visit Bohol island this is defiantly best spot stay, so much better than any place over Tagbilarian or any else, thing is that although it looks so perfect on the pictures is little bit less effective in real life, this still nice beach, perfect white sand etc but place is massively commercialised plus is quite expensive... We stayed closer to Dumaluan beach and decided to see what the hype is with Alona Beach. So we decided to walk there and find out it is much worse than Dumaluan. So much more touristy, more backpackers, hotels and bars though accommodation here isn't cheaper at all. Though the beach is nice but it is crammed with lots of... More

Alona beach is very beautiful. Because it is quite built up there are people out every morning clearing seaweed and rubbish so it is very clean. It does however have a VERY small area of shoreline - from the shops to the water there is not a huge amount of space.

Indeed a white sand beach but was a bit disappointed how beachgoers leave their trashes there. Come'on, this place is so nice with clear waters but it's just slightly being ruined by floating cigarette stubs and plastic cups. It's high time to enforce a coastal cleanup.

wonderful white sand beach, beautiful blue waters, world class diving spot. Be sure to stop at one of the many beach-side restaurants for a cold drink and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

This beach really disappointed me ... it is just a space where you can find most of the expensive restaurant and bars in Panglao. I would not suggest to stay here .... take a bike and look for a good beach!

Good to go for a walk and have some drinks, smoke shisha (though not sure pipes were well maintained and clean in the 2 we tried so might be best to avoid- TB!!) And plenty of food places

Had an early morning walk by the beach to catch the sunrise. Peaceful and calm and the beach was superb!
