Was a nice change from the hustle and crowds in Boracay .......it’s a good walk along the beach and stop for ice cream or shake . Mini Boracay I would say . Will come back again .

Wow! That's my first expression, when I saw the Alona beach Panglao Bohol for the first time. It's just 10minutes rude from New Panglao Airport and just a few minutes walk from our place we had our meeting. Definitely I'll go back, spend more time...More

Like Boracay, this area of Bohol has a white sand beach alongside hotels, restaurants, bars, juice shake shops, tattoos, and diving centers. Lengthwise, it's just a lot smaller, more like half of station 2. Easy to walk from end to end. The sand itself is...More

Alona beach is a public beach area in Panglao island that offers wide choices of accommodations and restaurants. The beach is excellent for swimming and just enjoying the sun. The fine white sands and the calm clear and clean waters makes the place so ideal...More

When I booked my trip to Philippines, I considered to visit Panglao because of the good reviews of Alona Beach, amongst other reasons. This beach was a disappointment. It’s small, you have no place for swimming, all over the place are boats and is filled...More

Beach is smaller and narrower than expected. While the sand is actually really nice and white and it's possible to see small fishes in the water, the chaotic environment, number of boats and locals offering boat tours and other services really make the whole experience...More

This is the place to be in the evenings for nightlife and good restaurants, but during the day it's not really where you want to relax. The beach is very narrow and full of tourists boats so it makes it difficult to be able to...More

Never expected to see such a polished product of a beach boardwalk. Besides the beauty of the clean beach, there were plenty of casual and nice dining options along with shops and bars you'd expect on any popular beach.

Hi All, I'm planning my honeymoon to the Philippines from August 10th until August 30th. I have a plan I wanted to know if it's a good one and what can I plan better. so: Landing in Manila and staying in the an airport hotel for one night. Manila --> Cebu --> Panglao - stay there around Alona beach for 2-3 nights. Panglao --> Siquijor - stay there for 2-3 nights. Siquijor --> Cebu --> Palawan --> El-Nido - stay there for 5 nights El-Nido --> Port Barton - stay for 2-3...More

if your thinking relaxed holiday then i would drop some of those destinations and spend more time in just 3 of them. Maybe just make it boracay, panglao and elnido/port barton. Travelling anywhere in the philippines isnt easy and the destinations u have mentioned all require travel by plane and then ferry, you will lose at least 3 days in travel trying to get to all those destinations, hardly relaxing. Nice nightlife and luxury resorts is definetly boracay and to a lesser extent pangloa....More

Some hotels like Paragayo and Blue Elephant do have free internet access (Wi-Fi) at the lobby. I have stayed in Paragayo and the connection is quite reliable.

Budget beachfront at Alona Beach -》 Aquatica Resort , Domos Native Guesthouse(far end of Alona Beach & very near but not exactly beachfront) Budget beachfront at Bolod Beach -》 Yuken Mari Resort , Panglao Grande Resort Danao Beach : Villa Juana San Isidro Beach : Steffi's Place Doljo Beach : Muro Ami Resort.. Recommendation? I have suggested the cheapest beachfront places at each beach.. The cheaper ones are seldom the good ones.. Perhaps do a filter of the Tripadvisor or...More
