A beautiful place where you can stay almost alone on the beach. Pay attention at the driver of the bus .... if you are not perfectly in time (also in case he see you coming) he do not wait for you

Its a must go when in the area. It's a natural reserve very well kept natural. Take a guided tour early morning or in the evening, otherwise it 's too warm. The staff is very kind and will give you a lot of insight.

Lake Burano may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think Tuscany, but this little haven tucked at the southern end of the region should be on everyone's top list of must-see sights. The deep blue lake appears suddenly in the typical olive-and-wheat Tuscan countryside. Between fall and spring, it teems with flamingos, herons, wildfowl and other birds. Sand dunes covered with Mediterranean trees and bush separate the lake from a long, deserted beach and the sea. No development in sight, only Mediterranean nature at its best. Thanks to WWF and to the local hero Fabio Cianchi, we can still imagine how the Med once was, and why it became one of the most famous tourist hotspots in the world. Contact Fabio and book a visit to Lake Burano on your next tour of Tuscany ... I did it many years ago and keep going whenever I can!

Very nice bird sanctuary. Must go to visitor's center to access the park. Great for birdwatching and walking around the lake and all the way to the beaches.

Despite the very good and well-prepared guide, the visit disappointed me a little. I was hoping to go and visit the Bursnaccio tower on the lake but instead it's a walk in the bush with 2 short stops in huts where you can't see birds up close. The oasis is beautiful and interesting also due to the presence of wolves near the beach but you don't feel the wilderness as I hoped. I don't recommend going sincerely
