This was so rich in culture and history, I did not expect so much- we had a local guide that explained the schools on the grounds and the burning down of the Jesuit church, just such a trip back in time.

Nice view from fortress to Serbia across Danube. The wall is in good shape. Worth visiting is a church of st. Ivan Kapistran only a few minutes away by foot. If you have time, you can visit another ruin near - in Šarengrad village.

Nice fortress with a great view on the Danube river. We couldn't get inside because it's closed on mondays, so watch out when you'll get there. Go for a walk around the fortress, you'll love it!
