it said online this place was open nevertheless upon arrival during opening hours we discovered the place was closed and no explanations given at the door. Really regretful.

A natural cave with watermills. In ancient times the mills were used to grind wheat, nuts and textile fibers. It inspired visitor H.C. Andersen.

A very helpful and friendly staff. We were unable to join a "live" tour as it was not available in English but to be honest the self paced audio tour (which is available in English) was excellent and informative. Worth a visit if you like...More

A fascinating and informative museum about using hydroelectric power beginning in the 17th century. Dress warmly for it gets cold in the lower levels.
