This is a beautiful station which perfectly preserves the atmosphere of earlier days. Well worth a visit, particularly when the Jacobite is running but if you want see the Jacobite, do try to get there early as car parking is limited. Upside, the Loco stays...More

Lots of local interesting facts about the line and station and its battles with the weather. You can do the whole place in 45 minutes but worth doing before visiting the station tea rooms in the carriages behind the station for excellent tea and cakes....More

This tiny museum in the station building is well worth a visit. It deals with the history of the Mallaig extension to the West Highland line, and the restoration of the station itself.

Situated on the railway platform so it was possible to see the steam trains (if you go at the right time), visit the museum (well worth a visit in itself) and (for the able bodied) climb into the signal box. Everything is in working order,...More
