My wife and I enjoyed the 2 and half hour cruise from Glenfinnan to Gaskan and it was outstanding in every way. Incredible scenery. Great value for money and the skipper of the boat Jim is a great ambassador not just for Scotland but for the human race! He really made us feel so so!! welcome letting us know that... More

The weather was not brilliant when we went to board the boat and we were the only two there. However Jim was still determined to take us out. Luckily the weather improved and we had great visibility. Jim's knowledge of the area, the geology, the wildlife and much more was astounding. He made it a very enjoyable and worthwhile couple... More

A trip aboard the MV Sileas on gorgeous Loch Shiel, with Jim Michie at the helm, is the absolute best way to immerse yourself in this gorgeous part of Scotland and get a taste of its history. My two friends and I decided we wanted to do the full 2.5 hour tour. When we showed up in advance of the... More

Even a few showers couldn't spoil this excellent cruise. Jim shares his knowledge at the right time and pace which allows you to sit back and take it all in. We saw Red Deer, Common Gulls and chicks. The highlight for me was a White Tailed Eagle perched high in a tree. Sadly no Golden Eagles on this trip but... More

We went on this boat trip yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The skipper was informative and took time to point out places of particular interest regarding the local history of the area. He was also happy to answer questions, yet gave time for travellers to enjoy the peace of the trip. We were supplied with blankets for comfort as it... More

This is a beautifully restored harbour launch that Skipper Jim and friends spent a year to complete. You can see detail pictures of this work on board. He will enthusiastically give you as much information as you wish. In deed his knowledge of not only his beloved boat but of Scottish history, the Loch and its environs and the wildlife... More

What a treat to have such an excellent skipper who had planned the trip to perfection. He was so informative and delivered everything in a delightfully moderated manner, no shouting or annoying jargon at all. We were welcomed so warmly and provided with rugs, binoculars and books. Drinks and snacks were also available.we had an unforgettable experience and will be... More

We took the two hour cruise to Glenaladale. The weather was beautiful, water like a mill pond and we had a fantastic morning on this lovely boat! This is a "must do" activity to really appreciate the beauty of Loch Shiel. We would highly recommend it. We look forward to taking the other cruise destinations on offer next time!

The cruise leaves from just outside glenfinnan. Can be reached by car and on foto. Half an hour on the train from fort william, 20 minute walk to pier. Ask for shortcut at the glenfinnan museum. The boat is partly covered, books and binoculars available. Also tartan rugs for the colder days. There is a small bar, selling coffee and... More
