This is really awesome place! In you like nature it’s really for you! We took a boat trip, 2-3 hours walking with several stops. Can’t explain with words how cool it was! And also it’s really cheap. Recommended!

We came through the National Park Service who sold us a package of $110 (actually for 4 persons but as we were only the 2 of us, we had to accept - or decline - the price) to take a boat tour across the lake into the river mouth. There we made the move to the kayak in order to continue approximately 4.5 km up the river. The view was magnificent and wildlife that you see is great. It’ll take you two hours to get to the meeting point with the transportation boat who will then whisk you back to the mainland. We had 4 hours of fun, was it worth it? Well it is an unique experience but for 350 gel not much more is being offered than transportation on a boat. On the other hand it is difficult to otherwise get access to the park.

We bought a trip on a fast boat around Paliastomi lake at the Kolkheti National Park office. We were told how to get to the boat and we enjoyed very quiet lake where in some places you had impression it was untouched by man.

The lake is placidly beautiful with abundant birdlife and fishing. Farmers leave cows to pasture on the banks of the river and many people boat/fish in its waters. Peaceful, bucolic place to relax!

The estuary is ordinary, nothing remarkable
We saw men fishing there.
I don't know why it's called a lake
