We visited Kukuvaya in the beginning of July. If you have really good taste then this shop is definitely for you. It stands out from the rows and rows of shops selling the same stuff. Theodore the owner was a delight, he has the perfect balance of being informative and not pushy at all. I ran out of some of the other shops! Newly opened, this shop deserves major success. I bought a few beautiful items that are all locally made, full of meaning and soul. You will be pleasantly surprised. And he gave us a great tip for lunch! Best food along the line.

Absolutely the best value for money solution for those who want to buy really unique gifts for their friends and family or for themselves. There is no comparison in terms of quality with other stores in the area. Highly recommended if you seek to buy something that with good taste and memorable!!!

If you ever get to visit the little village of Katakolon, please don't miss out on visiting this amazing little store. It is hidden in one of the side streets of the village and it is a real treasure. We all know that the ancient Greeks created great things throughout antiquity but this store is the proof that contemporary Greeks continue to do so.......(Minimalistic) Greek souvenirs of which the creation, from conception to production takes place entirely in Greece giving a unique dimension to the souvenir concept. I could have bought the whole collection!

A typical case of not trying too much to realize what's the true reason for choosing a shop to enter. Kukuvayas' fresh and smart design with all these cool colors act at a glance. An appealing open entrance -among hundreds of "fussy" stores arround- invites you to choose smoothly a modern gift for anyone (all made by greek designers). Thodoris, the owner, is a delight with his clever guidance and special spirit (this guy seems so international type and he plays great music!). A perfect spot for clever shoppers.

I absolutely loved this shop during our stop in the quaint little village.
It's a fairly new shop and was opened by an engineer with a keen eye for finding unique and well designed products from all over Greece. If you want to truly find unique items, make a stop here.

The shopping in Katakolon is mostly the same in all the stores, at least until I came here. Original and cool items made by Greek designers. A Breathe of fresh air in between all the standard souvenirs. Absolutely worth a visit!

We spotted Kukuvaya during our stay at Katakolo and we were delighted to shop nearly every gift that we needed, including a few for ourselves, from that fresh souvenir store.
Filled with truly unique objects from Greek designers, for every budget, and owned by a cool guy who was really helpful, it's a travelers dream.
We left with a big smile and we definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to bring home a fresh, artistic yet affordable gift from Greece

Kukuvaya is a true gem in the vast sea of souvenir shops. I came here at about the midpoint of an 11 day cruise and was blown away to find a store selling truly unique and contemporary goods. After seeing so many shops selling the same style of magnet and keychain, it was refreshing to see a place selling original Greek made souvenirs.
Originally, I got a fantastic little magnet made from Greek marble. I then came back to show some travel companions the shop and ended up with a small bust of Socrates which is my favorite souvenir of my entire trip.
The shopkeeper, Theodore, was incredibly friendly and helpful. After traveling through larger cities, I never expected to find such a treasure in a small port town in Greece. I truly wish there were more places like this.
Kudos to Theodore and his shop, the world needs more places like this.

Got myself a Greek towel made of tencel and the quality is great. If only I had space in my trolley I would have bought more - the selection of handbags (partly with cork) looks super stylish

Hi there...I visited Katakolo in July 2018. I went into a shop called "Unique." Do you happen to know this store or can direct me how to get in touch with the owner?
