The castle is well worth a visit if you are in the area. Group of 5 of us got in for 7euro as we had two under 6’s. Great little place to explore, views once up on the castle were breathtaking! Not for those with...More

Easy to get to by taking the regular bus from Catania, Aci Castello is a small, charming village. Rent a pedal boat and explore the beautiful cliffs, walk around the small harbor and the little square. Well worth a trip over the day for a...More

The castle stands on a dramatic promontory but after the effort to climb the stairs and, in the drizzle, slippery ramp we found the interior lacking detail and leaving the views to be the stars. The castle is well preserved and needs the historical back...More

We could not get close to the old castle due to road repairs and the size of our bus, disappointing as it is a feature landmark of the town and in a great coastal location. We had to be happy with a stroll on the...More

Charming ruined castle along the coast from Catania. Built in the Roman time out of the lava stacks.

Aci Castello is very close to Catania and something that you must see. If you travel by car could be combined with Aci Trezza, Acireale and Taormina, located more north.

Aci Castello is a very charming coastal town just north of Catania. A little quieter then Aci Trezza, with some nice restaurants and bars and a sweet piazza in front of the castle. The castle itself is quite small but nevertheless nice to visit at...More
