In questa piccola cittadina vicino Modena non poteva mancare un museo che raccogliesse le testimonianze del passato della zona, il Museo si trova all'interno del Palazzo Piella ed è gratuito. L'orario è ridotto alla sola mattinata della domenica, se si è in zona può valere la pena visitarlo. Reperti presistorici sono collocati in piccole vetrine. Niente di particolrmente eclatante ma la storia spesso è fatta di piccole cose che è giusto conservare e conoscere.

Il museo è piccolo, sviluppato in appena due stanze e mostra la storia del popolamento di Castelfranco Emilia dai primordi fino all’epoca moderna. Forse più adatto a piccole scolaresche non l'ho trovato particolarmente interessante.
Ben più stimolante invece la personale "Nè carnevale nè quaresima" di Paolo Rimondi, collocata in altre due stanze del museo

per sapere il rporio futuro per capire il proprio presente bisogna conoscere a fondo e con dovizia di particolari il proapio passato, bello ed intrigante ...e questo è il posto giusto !

Se siete in giro per Castelfranco per assaggiare il famosissimo tortellino, perchè qui è nato, non mancate di visitare questo piccolo museo archeologico nel pieno centro storico di questo paese.
Personale molto cordiale e poi organizzano un sacco d'iniziative culturali interessanti l'apt del comune.

Trovo che questo piccolo museo, con reperti archeologici interessantissimi sia veramente carino nella mia Castelfranco, qui nelle sale a fianco vengono continuamunte organizzate delle mostre di pittura e fotografiche veramente di buon livello, il museo si trova nei locali di palzzo Piella propio in prossimità del centro in prossimita del semaforo, si parcheggia bene ....insomma se siete in zona visitatelo e trascorrerete mezz ora/un ora veramente gradevole.
