the Mazzone farm is a family business producing wines for 3 generations only with grapes from their own vineyards. Over the years the company has received numerous awards for the quality of its wines. For some years we have opened the doors of our company to visitors, to let them know how our wines are born, in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the shade of ancient olive trees. The whole tour will be accompanied by our enolgo which will also cover the final tasting of native wines: Nero di Troia, Bombino bianco, Minutolo, Malvasia bianca.

A tour appreciated by many travelers from all over the world

Minimum 2 people

This is a great little museum. The staff are so proud and helpful and it is completely free (incuding the audio tour). The exhibits are rare and well displayed, including an amazing ancient Greek urn, which you can actually touch if you want to!!!

About 6.000 of pieces in six rooms. A museum around the late XIX century archeological museum. Something you could not lose. Trust me!

This little-known private museum in the heart of Puglia, and it is possibly one of the most delightful in the whole of Italy. Housed in the beautiful Jatta Palazzo, the centuries-old home of a local family, it comprises an incredibly fine collection of ancient Greek ceramics. Much of the items on display were items unearthed by local farmers, who brought sold these to the Jatta family in the town of Ruvo. The carved stone timpanus above the door has a humorous Latin inscription. It translates as this: :Greetings to you who has entered and has been enriched in his knowledge. But may you grow horns if you were to think of destroying this”. I'd suggest ringing ahead and speaking to Mrs Rosamaria, and booking a guided tour.

What an amazing story and what a fascinating little private museum. While it may be small, it has a collection of flawless Greco and Roman pottery that most large museums would envy. And the fact that is small makes it very "digestible" for those very interested in such things and fun and manageable for those who aren't really into spending hours wondering through a traditional large museum. If you find yourself anywhere near this small town in Puglia, do make a point of visiting the Jatta Collection - you won't be disappointed!

I have to admit I am not a huge fan of museums and can find them a little boring however, this museum was fantastic. The range is antiquities on show that were collected by the Jatta brothers and given to the city are just incredible and I found myself mesmerised for far longer than I thought I could have been. If you are in Ruvo Di Puglia don’t miss this display.
