We were in Ispica having dinner , and the doors of the church were open for the visits. Very beutiful , and looked special lit up with the doors opening onto the square . Definatly go and look at this church if it is open.

One of those churches, where you have really a lot of details to see. Take your time and look very closely. Lots of beautiful things to see

It was open late in the evening. It was very quiet but lively at the same time (a group of people was planning something).
The ceilings are amazing.
I have learnt more about the 1693 earthquake and the local response in this church that anywhere else. There is a commemorative plaque explaining when the church re-built started, why, where... a lovely snap-shop of local history and an example of resilience.

i am not sure if it is in Baroque style. Quite a big church. Very nice inside. Nice paintings on ceilings.

Passed by chance through Ispica. This church is wonderful! I stayed
enchanted. Highly recommended!
Inside there are people available to talk about the Church and the procession that takes place in the city
