The resort is fine during winter with good apres ski if you can suck up to the seasonal workers. Anyway, we stayed in their lodges during summer and can only recommend them for excellent value for money. By far the only sensible alternative for accomodation in this area outside the skiiing season.

We have been previously and had a great time. The location is wonderful and very picturesque. As a family of 15 we normally all meet somewhere and have been skiing in Norway the past few years over Xmas. Unfortunately for the Xmas 2015 time period, there was not much snow, which meant not many slopes were open and those that... More

Something for everybody here, from beginners slopes to big jumps, black pists and wild forest runs. Even the Olympic Winter Games 1994 took partly place here. Hafjell has very well groomed slopes, even if it may me a little slushy in the later parts of the day in end the season in April. About 2,5 hours drive from Oslo. Plenty... More

Hafjell is one of the top (if not the top) ski resort in Norway: all slopes are located on the sunny side of the valley and it offers a good mix with slopes for beginners and families as well as for experts. Good location, only about 2 hours north of Oslo, and easily accessible by car and train.

We had our doubts and concerns before we actually got there, as compared to the big resorts in the alps, this one would be regarded as one of the smaller one. But actually, there are quite a lot of great slopes and down-hill runs. Even the fact that there are several T-bars, still running around, had us go back to... More

The slopes and skiing conditions was excellent. A lot of people in the slopes, but this was spread out evenly. The personnel working at the lifts and gondola, was very good at filling the chairs, so the queues looked long, but waiting time was minimal. The slopes itself was well prepared and the overall experience with the destination was excellent!

2-5 Jan - Lovely place to ski at, particularly if you prefer smaller resorts. Family atmosphere, other skiers friendly. £200 for 4 days skiing for 2 people + £100 for equipment for 2. Excellent locker room at base from which you can take the gondola up and ski down to. Lovely long green runs. Good red following last part of... More

Excellent ski resort, had a really great day out. About 2-2 and a half hours from Oslo's centre, definitely worth the drive out! Very easy route, literally following the E6. Very cold temperatures, great long ski runs with varying difficulties, easy to find your way around and excellent staff/facilities. Did not want to leave.

The centrum Is modern and trying to stay modern. It is one of the best in Norway, but under average in comparison with Alps. For good skier good one day skiing.
