One of the best beaches in Chania prefecture, quite untouched and unexplored. Many travelers use the area around the beach as a free camping spot. It is actually a cedar forest next to the beach. It is also a favorite beach for naturists. The road up to Elafonisi is quite good and then you need to take a non asphalt road for about 10 minutes. Then you also need to take a walk path for another 15-20 minutes. No matter the time you will need to go there, it's sure that you will enjoy that unique beach.

Crystal blue waters, fine wate sands and dunes and natural shade of the pine trees scattered on the nearby hill are a perfect spot for a tranquil summer vacation day. From the parking place to the beach follow the trails (easy) for aprox 15-20 minutes...More

We were on our way to Elefonsiou, coming along a nasty dirt road from Palaiochora direction, Ok for people who wreck hire cars! Any way, the parking was easy, and a 8 minute walk to the beach area. I call it that, because its a...More

It is a hidden gem accessible through an unpaved and difficult road, then it needs around 15 min hike to reach the beach. The wild nature with the rocks and trees make the place a piece of heaven. The beach is huge with a hundred...More

We decided to take a look at this beach after checking out of Elafonisi, en route to our next destination. We knew vaguely where we thought it was and set off along the dirt road. No signposts, so we were not sure whether to perservere...More

If you can find it, you won't forget it. It beats any beach I have ever been to. You have to be patient getting there and if you do find it difficult to find ask the local workers. We ran into a German couple who...More

It is located near Elafonissi, but difficult to reach if you do not know it. But the drive really Worth. There is nearly anybody, and the sand dunes in combinations with the vegetation and the beach makes it really great. Much better then Eleafonissi itself....More

You need a car. And one with a good ground clearence if you can eftort it. It is a bit secluded, which is why it is so unspoiled. Get your hands on a good roadmap and stick to the southern coastline from Elafonissi.
