One of the best beaches in Chania prefecture, quite untouched and unexplored. Many travelers use the area around the beach as a free camping spot. It is actually a cedar forest next to the beach. It is also a favorite beach for naturists. The road up to Elafonisi is quite good and then you need to take a non asphalt road for about 10 minutes. Then you also need to take a walk path for another 15-20 minutes. No matter the time you will need to go there, it's sure that you will enjoy that unique beach.

We have visited this as one of our favourite spots regularly over the years, but on our recent visit were staggered how its changed over the last 18 months. The warning signs started as we drove in a slow snake of cars along the road that used to be virtually traffic free. Usually we have shared the beach with about... More

Definitely one of my favourite beaches in Crete! Like everywhere in Crete, it's best to visit off season if you can. We were here in early September, and met just a handful of people. Bring snacks and water - and make sure to take all your rubbish with you.

Clear water. Colourful fish. Not crowded (yet). Close to elafonissi. Requires a long walk to the beach. A nude stretch is at the far left corner.

Please leave it wild and true as it is now. I can define it as an “organic” beach, far from cities and totally without facilities. Not easy to be reached (no road signs, hard off-road and walking) or walking from Elafonisi, so it’s not totally suggested if you have little children. Please continue to respect this beautiful place. Some people... More

After been advised to not to miss Kedrodasos I decided to visit. Bad day? Bad weather? Maybe, what's certain is that I won't do it again. The road is bad and you need to climb down for about 15 minutes under the sun because if you're waiting to see a forest close to the sea, you will be disappointed like... More

After a short hike, you get to this beach. It is rather relaxing, water is very clear, and there are no services nearby. It is a nice beach for a swim, but I personally wouldn't make a trip specifically for it.

Kedrodasos is for sure the best beach all over Chania..! This place is a forest protected from pollution and the sea waters combine the crystal blue with the green color. The whole scenery reminds of paradise: the sand hills, the clean beach, the cedar trees, it is like a poem. Kedrodasos is not mainstream and it is better for a... More

Beautiful lengthy beach ⛱ with only young people. A lot of natural shadow from trees and rocks. Bring a towel and you are ready for this wild experience. No bar around, no restaurants around. Just you and the sea. In August you will find several free campers ⛺ in the forest behind the beach. Beware there exist a kinda steep... More

Surprising beach, very badly indicated (actually not indicated) just after the famous elafonissi beach. Nicely hidden jewel, the cedars on the beach provide an original scenery & worth to follow the walk. Only for campers however & the beach not spectacular
