A traditional family-owned winery in the downtown area of historic Tordesillas, Muelas offers a unique and fun winery tour. We learned a great deal about the local wines, and tasted a selection of the excellent Muerga wines. All led by a delightful host, one of the co-owners. Though not for the infirm or faint of heart, this was one of the most fun winery tours I've ever done. The tour starts in the bodega, what at first look appears to be a simple wine shop. As the tour progresses, however, you learn that the grapes are brought from nearby vineyards and processed entirely in the premises, in underground caves carved into the rock. Next, you are led through down a hole in the ground and narrow stairs to the level below, where the grapes are pressed. Through a set of sturdier stairs, you are led another level down, where most of the wine is aged in oak casks. But, wait, there is yet another level, that is being improved in order to expand production.

Loved the guided tour and the tasting! We went as a group of 11 study abroad students with our professor, and had a great experience. Lots of yummy cheese, meat, and bread. 6 different types of wine- such a great deal!

This is a small Bodega that produces 25,000 bottles per year from their eight hectare vineyard. The wine is stored and bottled in the centre of Todesillas in an incredibly deceptive place. A small tobacconist on the left and a wine shop on the right in a narrow street hide lots of secrets. The interior is small but the real secret is below, A series of steps and tunnels have been edged out over a long period to create a surprisingly large underground storage area. As this remains at a constant moderate temperature it is very suitable for ageing wine. We took a very reasonably priced tour to learn about the product and the tasting was quite good. The product is excellent to a novice connoisseur. This is in the Rueda wine region that produces Spain's most popular variety , Verdejo and there are lots of massive and impressive bodegas about this is a small family run business with a very welcoming personal touch.

Superb Bodega- family owned and run. We had a private wine tour & tasting and fell in love with the wines. The owners were very knowledgeable, friendly and quite rightly proud of their wines. The Bodega and cellars are beautiful. Thank you.
