The full train ride from Los Mochis to Chihuahua is expensive in Primera class and not necessary, unless you really want to say you have done it all. The best section of the journey is El Fuerte to Creel, it was packed with lovely scenery and most enjoyable. I stopped a night at Divisadero and a day at Creel and... More

A great way to see the mountains of the Sierra Tarahumara in northwestern Mexico. Definitely go from El Fuerte to Chichuahua, so that you're in the most exhilarating scenery during daylight hours. A tour operator, Copper Canyon Adventures, in El Fuerte, were a huge help; they got me my ticket, and recommended a couple of overnights in Urique, a sweet... More

Chepe it's an amazing option to visit a different side of Mexico. The best part of the train and the one you can't miss, it's between El Fuerte and Divisadero (Barrancas del Cobre) but all the vacation in the Cooper Canyon is incredible. Even though it's not a cheap holiday compare to other options in Mexico I definitely recommend it.

I have been on here a week now and love the train. The food on board is expensive but quite tasty. Many amazing stops on the way, if you can afford it stay at el mirador hotel for the best views ever in your lifetime

We took the train the entire route from Chihuahua to Los Mochis. We made two stops along the way at Creel and Posada Barrancas. We stayed a few nights in each of these locations, so we basically made the whole train ride take a week. There's not a lot to see leaving Chihuahua, but once you make it into the... More

I'll deal with the negative first - obtaining the tickets for premier class train which included overnight stops en route was a nightmare. Despite a lack of response from the online booking station for about five months, I eventually managed to book and pay online ten days prior to travel. But no tickets arrived. Persisted with calls and emails but... More

We made a mistake taking the train from Chihuahua and not from El Fuerte. The scenic part of the ride is from El Fuerte to Divisadero (the stop at the Divisadero not to be missed- the view is unbelievable). From Chihuahua to Creel not much view to be seen and it is better to take a touristic bus from Chihuahua... More

We set off very early in the morning from Chihuahua station. On the day on question they were not running the tourist class and we had to opt for first class... or go back to hotel. We decided to go for it and paid a little less than $4000 for two of us for a one way ticket to Barancas/Posada.... More

We took El Chepe, first class seats, from Los Mochis to Creel and then returned to Los Mochis to pick up our car. On the way into the canyon, the best views are from the right side of the train, opposite side on the way back, but there were plenty of empty seats, so we could change sides if we... More

Train is surprisingly modern with good meals. But the main attraction are the views of Copper Canyon and the native Indians.
