Mountain biking with Terry & Lisa
Sep 2013 • Couples
After passing by the Alhambra Rambler "Hike & Bike" shop in the main street of Alhama we booked a day mountain biking.

Terry has 2 Orange Patriot full suspension bikes complete with Full face helmets. We went off in an old citroen van with Terry and Lisa and Tod the Dog up into the hillsides above Loja. The scenery was amazing and soon we were at 1,500m in altitude. The first run down was shorter and gave us a chance to get used to the bikes and enjoy the scenery. Once again we got into the van and went up again, for the second run down, which was longer and again with amazing scenery, as well as interesting information from Terry on the way down. The trails were bascially gravel 4x4 tracks, so not particularly technically challenging for those that have done mountain biking before, but fun nonetheless. At the end of the second run we had a lovely local picnic in a shading spot by a stream, and then back into town via a drinks stop in a new hotel/bar with a lovely view.

The day out was really good value, Terry and Lisa were lovely people and told us lots of information about the local area, and the biking was really fun!

The shop also hires out hardtail bikes, road bikes and hybrids and they also lead walking holidays too.

Highly recommended!
