Private Day Trip: Train Market, Sunset Dinner & Fireflies with a Local

1 review
Thailand will take your breath away on this private day trip. With your favorite local, you’ll experience life on the Maeklong train market where a train passes through the centre of the market each day! You’ll see shopkeepers literally pick up their stalls and move them out of the way then watch as the train gently passes. There is nothing quite like it!

“Wood” you like to know what’s next on this Bangkok day trip? A stunning temple with hand carved teak wood walls showing the amazing story of the Buddha.

After all this excitement it’s time to eat! You will be blown away by the beautiful Amphawa at sunset. Enjoy a traditional dinner of scrummy specialties by the water as your local host shares the magnificent stories of the floating market.

Ahoy there! Who doesn’t love a private boat trip? After dinner, you and your local host will be picked up and you’ll head out on the river in search of burning bright fireflies!

If you fancy miserably looking cats spending all day long in small cages, this is definitely place for you to come. Free of charge at least.

Lots of nice cats here but I am not sure why they are all in individual cages. They seemed in good condition and not distressed although it was a cloudy day so not too hot.The Siamese cats looked authentic and not like the ones these days that have been bred to have longer snouts. There were a lot of chocolate cats which to me looked like Burmese but there was no-one to ask. No charge and a quick to do thing. I was there for the restaurant so took a look but I wouldn't make a special trip to see this 'attraction'.

Although not a cat lover I went along with my family who are. There were some amazing cats on show. I personally thought that the cages were a bit on the small side, hence the three stars. As someone with little knowledge of Thai cats I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of different breeds.

lots of authentic Thai cats can be found here. The only thing that bugged me was that the owner seems to 'conserve authentic Thai cats' by trying to breed them to stabilize the breed. The cats that didn't posess the authentic characteristics seem to not be taken enough care of.

Cats look well looked after but cages are so cramped and temperature was 35C so all were panting to keep cool.
