It was quite evident that Tony Kirby has put his heart and soul into learning about The Burren and that he loves to share that passion with others. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and were so glad we had an experienced guide to show us the way. We highly recommend!

Tony's walk was outstanding. He led us on a walk through the Burren and provided insights into the geology, flora and history of this area. The area we walked was great in that we could see the surrounding area and how the Burren is laid out. Tony is knowledgeable and fun. I would go again!

The walk and guide with Tony really provided an insightful view of the both the past & present experiences in The Burren. His geology, archeology & botany knowledge brought the area alive. We also appreciated getting a wonderful tour based on our limited gear - no hiking boots! We have already recommended Tony to others.

I hired Tony Kirby of Heart of Burren Walks again this year to guide our group to Coleman's Well. Each time, I learn something new. Tony combines a wealth of knowledge with a deep respect for the landscape and for those who wish to explore the spiritual aspect of ancient sites. As always, the members of our group enjoyed our... Honestly, I don't know what I expected, but Tony exceeded expectations! The information he provided my students (I lead a study abroad group) held their interest, even though the geography/geology aspects are outside their area (Communication & Business students). He was an engaging speaker, gave great examples, and is so fascinating and articulate! He taught the students new words, recited... More

A truly fascinating tour taking in aspects of geology, botany, ecology and archeology, and helping us understand how human interaction with the environment has shaped the unique landscape of the Burren. We learned so much, not least about the complexities of how we can live and work in sympathy with nature. But it is Tony's humour, his obvious passion for... More

Tony met us in Corofin and led us on a tour of the burrens. He explained the geological history of the area and described the impact of man and nature and how the current plant and animal species interact to create or change the area. Great walk thru the area. Tony is very knowledgable and devoted to this burren area.... More

I contacted Tony by email in the hopes of getting a walk on one of two days - short notice. He got back immediately and yes it was possible. Tony is an experienced quide - he knows and feels the Burren - and impacts this knowledge in a very interesting way. He is very passionate about this small corner of... More

I contacted Tony in late July for a private tour (4 people) in French for the very beginning of August. Needless to say that my hopes were not high. However Tony managed to schedule the tour (in French!) and we spent a wonderful morning with him. The Burren is a truly unique and amazing place but our experience would have... More

Tony answered all the questions we had been wondering about and he gave us a haunting and beautiful view of Ireland. It's not just about the Burren but of the whole country. We were enthralled by Tony's stories and poetry.
