We have just completed a walk with Tony Kirby in the Burren, walking to the Chapel of Temple Cronin in East Burren. Tony explains the geology, wild life and nature, and anthropology of the area with easy charm and in an interesting way. The east is different from the west - less harsh ; and it's worth exploring more than... More

I took my second Burren walk with Tony in early August and spent an informative few hours along the Fanore coast appreciating the natural beauty. Tony is a great host and gauges his walkers well, establishing a pace and level of detail that suits everyone. My first Burren walk was last Christmas with my Mum and Tony took us through... More

This was the best experience myself and my wife had in Co Clare in all the years we have been visiting. Tony Kirby is a treasure, a veritable font of knowledge, the Oracle of the Burren! He knows every flower and every stone in the Burren, which I always viewed as a sad and desolate place but now, thanks to... More

What a great way to spend a few hours, Tony is an excellent guide, his knowledge of the area and the evolution of the Burren is fantastic. He is entertaining and provides not only information on the geology, flora and farming in the area but throws in a few local poems too. It isn't a challenging walk, so would suit... More

The Burren is amazing but you may not figure that out unless you go with Tony. Tony helped us to appreciate what we were seeing in a way you can't using just your own eyes or even a guidebook. It was informative and fun---and he let us borrow walking sticks. I only wish we had more time to go on... More

We scheduled this walk before we came, based on reviews and descriptions, and it was all we wanted it to be. Tony is the quintessential guide: knowledgeable, experienced, interesting and an enjoyable companion for a walk. We visited the Burren, which in itself was amazing and unlike any terrain we had ever experienced, but Tony's in-depth exploration into the geology,... More

We really enjoyed our guided walk with Tony. My little son, who is 9 rated it as one of his fav things he did in Ireland. Tony was really great with him too, taking an interest in his questions and letting him walk along side him. Tony is a relaxed and charming tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the local... More

we had been touring ireland for two weeks, immensely enjoying driving the back roads and taking in the beautiful scenery, but we hadn't connected with many irish people, other than quick conversations in restaurant and stores. we signed up for our burren walk with tony, to learn about this unique rugged area. we not only got to discover the geology... It is a blessing to walk The Burren with Tony Kirby- He guides you along the limestone landscape that used to be a sea floor as a sacred journey, revealing how nature and man are truly connected. Take a camera. You will see wild flowers and rocks and clouds you will never want to forget. A true Irishman, Kirby concludes... More

The walk with Tony was a highlight of my time in Ireland. His intimate knowledge of and genuine love for the Burren landscape shone through. I enjoyed the walk immensely!
